Damnit, the humidity was supposed to make me look younger, not older. I'm not even 32 yet!

Dan Fogelberg did this tune called "Leader of the Band" which I heard in a waiting room recently. I recall thinking "Hmmm, how bout that? Someone managed to make 'Cats in the Cradle' worse. Good for him."

The part about his blood running through his instrument makes me laugh.

She leads me to moonlight only to burn me with the sun.

So there is this spinster. She is a butterbody. She is a good cook, spends a lot of money she doesnt have (orwont have for long) on furniture she cannot afford. She knows the most expensive streets in the wealthiest cities even though she hasnt been within 100 miles of said town. Anyway, she sort of lacks an identity and takes on the identity of those whose lives she would like to have. Most of these characters are fictional. Its sort of a shame bc she can be very funny and posesses some very nice traits.

Anyway, she recently turned 35. She decided this was the year she was going to get married. She has purchased wedding magazines, gone engagement ring shopping and has picked out whatever that word for wedding icing is, on the cake she will have. I am not sure but perhaps she has a reserved the site. The rest is confirmed.

Problem is, she does not have a boyfriend and not even a potential boyfriend.

And you all think I'm nuts?

When I was in college some frat guy thought that playing James Taylor was a sure way into a girl's pants. I didn't think this approach would work on anyone until I went to grad school and had a housemate who associated Cowboy Junkies with multiple orgasms and thus played it whenever she brought someone home.

Allegedly, it sounds more mainstream than his other shit. I just hope he's done screaming about how he's going to kill himself. He's rich. He fucks models. He's got a boat. Its time for him to do some Buffet type stuff. Or perhaps do a record with Wilco or Pearl Jam as his backing band....

We always played Blues Traveler b/c someone told us it subconciously made women horny.

I guess I'm just not as close to fine as you are, Bobby.
Don't worry, Sebby -- it won't be long before your soul gets it right if you keep listening to Joni.

She should call the jilted dude in Atlanta. Sounds like they'd get along well.

Whatta dumbass.

As TM taught us, the trick is to sing it, not play it.

my ex-boyfriend used to play Sarah McLaughlin and the Cowboy Junkies during sex all the time until one day I put my foot down (and the other, and walked out the door- ha). I suppose it was better than the dude who used to play "Feel like makin' love" during sex.
