I would still like to look like Robert Hays. I would still like to have a watch that can stop time. And, assuming no one posts a recent picture, I would still like to bang Pam Dawber.

Is this thing on?"

I'd still like to be Miss America
I'd still like to win the lottery and travel for 3 or 4 years.

- Michael: Faster, Knight Boat! We've got to catch those starfish poachers!
Knight Boat: You don't have to yell, Michael, I'm all around you.
Michael: Oh, no, they're headed for land! We'll never catch them now.
Knight Boat: Incorrect. Look, a canal.
Homer: Go, Knight Boat, go!
Bart: Oh, every week there's a canal.
Lisa: Or an inlet.
Bart: Or a fjord.
Homer: Quiet! I will not hear another word against the boat!

I tend to hold people who give out my contact information for these things in pretty low regard. I understand how forwarding works and when it does or does not include an actual e-mail address, and I assume that other people do as well. Therefore, I think the request was inappropriate, because she jumped the channels. She should have gone through her contacts and worked it out. I wouldn't have given the information out. I assume that things like that are treated on a need to know basis, which is how I treat them. If you need to know, you will know it. If you don't know it, you should assume that it's because you're not supposed to know. And you should deal with that through your contacts, not by jumping over levels in the contact chain to get the information.
Also, I won't give people's names to headhunters, financial planners, the guy who comes to the office to do custom shirts, etc. And I hate it when I get a call from some asshole who is all "Your friend Oswald is so happy with the custom shirts I make for him."

Who knows. She may have been trying to get your secretary -- believe it or not, stuff like that happens all the time without most lawyers being aware of it going on. Here's an example.
Pompous GP: Fenwick, I need a copy of the MacGillicuddy memo in support of summary judgment. I don't seem to see it in the file.
Eager GA: No problemo, Not Bob. I'll have it to you in a jiffy. [leaves palatial corner digs of GP]
Eager GA: Lucille, where is the MacGillicuddy memo in support of summary judgment?
Put-upon secretary: Did you look in the file?
Eager GA: Of course I did. Not Bob says it isn't there.
Put-upon secretary: He takes apart the files when he gets ready for the hearing. Idiot.
Eager GA: Well, have Snake or Psycho run over to the courthouse to pull the file from the clerk's office and they can get a copy of it.
Put-upon secretary: Suuuuuuuuuure. [aside] Those guys are too busy getting stoned by the dumpster in the garage. I'll call Hortense at opposing counsel's office and tell her that my moron of a boss let his moron of a boss lose the memo, and have her send it to me.

I'm attributing it to the fact that she's on the West Coast and probably smokes too much dope to actually give a shit about the right thing to do....just another lazy sack of pot-smoking shit on the left coast.

Excuse me, but "proactive" and "paradigm"? Aren't these just buzzwords that dumb people use to sound important? Not that I'm accusing you of anything like that.

It is difficult to be reminded of one's lack of friends.

Speaking of Y&R, why didn't any of you tell me that Wayne Brady was going to be on the fabulous Mother's Day edition?
He was on and so was Corbin Bernsen (LA Law and The Mole) and so was Joan Van Ark. Apparently I missed Amazing Race winner, Reichen Lehmkuhl.
