2. With eliptical and aforementioned rowing machines mixed in. I don't know if the pounding on the treadmill is different than running, since the ipod is just sitting on the machine, not pounding the pavement. Mine falls off/is dropped a lot. I'm a klutz.

Another iPod question. Anyone have a shortcut for getting songs off of the iPod and into iTunes. I know that Apple is concerned about file sharing and they don't want their device to be used for illegal sharing, but I have several computers and it's a hell of a lot easier to just transfer the songs using the iPod as a conduit.

Check on macrumors.com. There have been discussions there. Regardless of the harm, some have complained that the bouncing makes it hard for the harddrive to keep up with the music--it can't fill the buffer fast enough. (and, sebby, it's the bouncing more than the vibrating)

That relic needs to be taken behind the shed and put down. The reviews have not been kind. Most say he's out of touch, and if his interviews are any indication, those reviewers are right. Wolfe was able to permeate a culture very unlike his own in Electric Kool Aid because he had the street cred bestowed on him by Kesey. He also had the eyes of a man in his 30s. When I saw this 75ish cat commenting about how "hooking up" (one of the prime topics of Simmons) is "this new thing the kids in college do" I felt sorry for him. He bit off way more than he could chew trying to infiltrate the mind of college kids. Thats the kind of thing Chuck Klosterman or Foster Wallace should try. I'll wait for the paperback.

You have it backwards. Acetaminophen doesn't do anything but relieve pain. Aspirin, Ibuprofen (Advil) and Naproxen (Aleve, my choice) all reduce inflammation. A natural choice for reducing inflammation is turmeric capsules. I take a double dose when injured and they help. New Chapter capsules are very good.

The only thing with Aleve is you have to keep taking it so that there's a steady stream in your blood for it to work. My doctor says it takes a while to "get started" too.

I don't know, though. Asprin, etc. never works for me -- I never notice any difference in the amount of pain I feel. The only time an OTC medicine worked for me was when I had some ouchie on my toe (I can't remember what it was) that was surprisingly and agonizingly painful. Aleve made it go away.
