Honestly, it probably comes down to the reviewer's experience in those cities. I haven't been to either one, because I'm xenophobic (or something like that).

But, how can you not go to the city that inspired the movie that had this in it:

While this advice is helpful generally, you need to remember your audience. How are the public libraries in each city? Will Ty experience any difficulty finding high speed internet access in either place?

I preferred Barcelona, and that was before they prettied the city up for the Olympics. As for art, I will take the Gaudi cathedral, park and buildings, the Miro museum, and the Dali museum over room after room after room after room after room of fucking Renaissance art. How many different ways could they draw the Madonna and child? I don't know, but clearly not enough to keep me interested.
