Apropos of our baseball mascot discussions of the other day, I think Hank may have found his plaintiff(s).

There was a hall in my freshman dorm that designated a stall in the men's room the display stall. When someone felt that an impending crap was going to be somehow noteworthy (i.e. because of size, texture, contents of meal, etc.) they would use the display stall and make the turd available for public viewing.

For the love of Pete, what are you DOING? Are you trying to wrest the GPE* Award from paigow's fingers?

Is this really all that strange?
Fuck no. My wife hasn't changed hers.

It is not strange and I would advise all married professionals to keep their own name, especially if they earned their degrees prior to marriage. I know a lot of people who did this.

Also, plenty of people are "Dr. Maiden" and "Mrs. Husband," or even just "My Name" who is married to "The Husband," without any legal name change.

Even without having legally changed my name upon getting married, dropping the alias upon divorce was difficult.

My brother's wife din't, either. But she is the only one I know like that.

I think it she kept her name for professional reasons, mostly -- partly because she comes from a family of all females (sort of the "last of the line" concept, though this never made sense to me) -- and I am certain it's partly because people fuck up the pronunciation of my family's surname all the time. . .

That thing can't be called a keyhole anymore- not since you "dated" the offensive line on Homecoming senior year.

They published a photo of one amazing turd which had to be five inches wide on the front page my college's underground campus newspaper. Everyone in the library took a look at that one. I'm still baffled as to how that "baby" could have been "delivered."

My wife has a shot of something her friend left when very drunk called "The Cobra." Rings the bowl nearly twice.

Mine either. We considered hyphenating, but then decided against it. First, the thought of subjecting a kid to a hyphenated name and the attendant ridicule was too much to bear. More importantly, the bullshit one had so wade through to legally change one's name made keeping her name that much more appealing to Mrs. dL.
