Gwinky likes to visualize whirled peas. I myself prefer to be more active and I am actually trying hard to stop the violins.

Carry on. (Hi, ncs, you bitter old crone!)

I recalled the discussion being that they break a lot and are lower quality than most other brands (as well as being a bad value, of course). But I didn't go back and review the old posts, so I won't quibble. Tiger Woods likes them at least. And he's never led me astray with his Buick recommendations.

Why would you care what people think about the brand of your watch? Yeah, TAG has blown its load in terms of popularity but if it a good watch, wear it in good health...I wear lots of things that could be contstrued as out of style. Talbot's shoes are a good exmple, total old lady flats but comfy as hell, I really just don't care.

Hey NCS ---thanks! Happy holidays. It was partially intentiona;l [I've really tried] partially unintentional [it has been busy as hell year end] but the bottom line is I've really made an effort to not post as much....

The New and Improved Fashion Board, Indeed

I would like to point out that ppnyc has lived up to her bargain on this board to date. Significantly fewer posts than Hank. Right in the range of fringey and sebby. Well done, ppnyc.

(now don't go and post 100 posts in a row right now or we could have some trouble.)

I think she took her inspiration from the name of the board, but maybe I'm biased.

Not one person you've ever come in contact with, even for a moment,* believes this. And neither do you.

*And that's a lot of people because, well, you're fat.

You know, just yesterday I was contemplating whether the woman in front of me in the check out lane at Whole foods was attractive. After having initially decided no, I thought a second look was in order as she kept turning around to look at me. Until I saw her shoes. One look at those babies and I knew that there was no way she was attractive.

That's when I knew I was gay (or at least destined for the male version of spinsterhood).

The looked something like this:

For your sake, I hope she's not your Secret Santa this year.

I reject people that I don't know and haven't talked to based on whatever happens to piss me off first. Giving my general surliness, it could be any number of things. In your case, it was because you are vapid, shallow and lame.

In her case, it was the combination of my general annoyance at being out in public, having to interact with the unwashed masses, and wearing some seriously ugly shoes.

Btw, for future reference, using more punctuation does not lend greater depth to any given observation.

I thought it was "churlishness."

Poor, poor Adder. Having to venture out into the great wide open that is Whole Foods and having to deal with people! The horror.....I feel so sorry for you.

re: GMILF. Just ewwwww.

What amazes me is that you noticed the shoes before realizing a grandmother was checking you out.

You know, there are a number of good, free dictionaries available on the interwebs. You might want to check one of them out.

Before we get too excited, let's recall that this was the thread in which she retired.
