My sister's dog's name is Holden. Is that ok? He was born in 1997 if that helps your answer.

Top 30 now. Barely top 150 when I was born. Crap. I'm evolving into a "Tyler".

. . . .

And str8, may I suggest Ely over Evan? Evan sounds like the schlubby, skinny debate camp wuss who went to Yale and became a name dropper in Hollywood who tried to make a buck ripping off the fans.
1) those are jamaica-prole names now. give some credit.

2) Why not be blunt and go with Eli?

Can too, can too!

Are you accusing me of being humorful? 'Cause, I dunno about you, but I have found my posts of late to be sadly lacking in that department.

I like the name Evan. The only Evan I know is my sister's ex who is now an annoying Canadian tv personality, but I still like the name. Evan TomatoBasil Outavannuys has a nice ring to it. Dignified, almost.

Speaking of paying for the board, last year a LAker fan and i had a secret bet to cover the board for 1 month.

These don't usually cost me anything so I'm willing to do it again. Anyone?

Britney takes too many undeserved hits on this board. I stand by Britney. She's real.

I won't comment on my dress, but I will not that in my birth year, multiple variations of my name were in the top 1000 for boys, but no variation for girls. Today, there are mutliple variations of my name for girls in the top 100.

fwiw, I love the name Hagar. I wouldn't name my kid it though, for one reason which I won't say and the other reason is that kids would call her "hag" or something. Maybe I will name my next cat "Hagar." If my next cat is a boy, I will name him "Chairman Meow." Just fyi.
I have been sort of silently giggling at the posts leading up to this one, but Chairman Meow just put me over the top into outright guffaw (which is sub-optimal when sitting on a trading desk - just fyi).

I once worked for a woman who named her daughter Halen. I am not kidding.

Funny. The only Evan I know is now an annoying Canadian academic personality.

What is it about Evan and Canadians?
