I think we can retire BOTD for a while -- Flinty is doing the job admirably. Now we only need someone to cover for Flinty until he wakes up every day at noon, Pacific time.

JFK, Jr.
http://www.abcnews.go.com/sections/G..._040716-1.html
JFK Jr. dead 5 years. I wasn't on these boards at the time, but must say that plate's stark statement at the time is the most decisive, most cold-blooded thing ever, isn't it?
Is plated here? unless he's slave, but a more serious version, I don't see it. Why wouldn't he come here?
For what its worth, I vote Carolyn was attractive.

What is our TdF policy re: spoilers? I follow the race in real time on my computer, but do others wait until the evening to watch OLN?

I also follow in real time, but I remember a few years back someone pitched a fucking fit because of revealing spoilers. I say leave spoiler space, like with any other potentially spoiler-sensitive topic.
Spoiler space:
The rain is really going to slow them down today. That will be a miserable climb into La Mongie.

Please pay attention to this.
I can find a picture of whomever is in yellow myself if I want.
That is all.

Still, not much action this stage - again. Do Lance, Ullrich, Mayo, or Hamilton try to attack on the Col d'Aspin? I predict no. I predict they catch the attackers, and a lead group of the Peloton, with all GC contenders, finishes with the same or approximately the same time.

Sounds reasonable. There's less than a minute between the attackers and the peloton. Unless Mayo tries something today (as he threatened to do) I predict that it will be relatively quiet up front.

Agreed, and in nasty weather the descent will be tricky and likely allow the peleton to catch back up anyway.
But I wouldn't be surprised to see Lance put a charge in late on the tourmalet, mainly because he's been saying that tomorrow is more likely his day. The bigger question is whether Voeckler and the other pretenders give up big chunks of time starting today. I think so, and by the end of tomorrow someone not now in the top six, probably lance or hamilton, will be in yellow. I don't think Ullrich will attack too much in the mountains--he'll just hang with the leaders and try to win in the TT.

It is a fascinating question to ponder how much time someone could lose in a mere 15km.
I doubt it happens much other than because of crashes, but do you think there will be abandonments during a time trial?

I don't know. I think if you abandon during a TT, you were peobably close to abandoning anyway. Hey, is the T-Mobile rider whi hit the fence post the other day (don't remember his name) still in it?

If ya'll want, we could certainly create a TdF spoiler thread for those who don't want to have to worry about spoiler space. I don't know if that'd interrupt the free flow of conversation though.
Does anyone here care that much about spoilers?
