Because it says "LESBIAN." Duh. In Penske-land, Lesbian = evil, therefore it's offensive.

My Sabbatical
An Open Post to the Board:
Upon an evening's reflection on the vitriol and hatefilled invective that was viciously hurled at me yesterday solely for the honest and humane expression of my interest in protecting the rights of unborn children, babies and the victims of state sanctioned murder, I have decided to take the rest of the day off from posting. I pray that the stalkerish politics of personal destruction attacks and hate against the culture of life will subside.
In my absence I trust that right-minded thinking patriots, like Slave, Spanky, Billmoure and Sgt. Club et al will pick up the ideological torch of common sense that we try to infuse into the wasteland of modern day liberal anti-thought.
In the meantime I would urge all of you to fulfill your civic duty and Vote! eta: Confidential to RT, let's close this poll at 6 PM Pacific time today.
Finally, as a reminder of the danger human liberty, our society and nation face from the evil forces of Marxism, RedChinese Communism, Islamofacism and modern day unclassical Demo-liberalism, I leave you (below) with a faux-montage of the racists, liars, cheaters, murderers, sexists and otherwise treasonous people who make up the leading lights of some of those "isms".
May God bless our shining city on a hill and help the sheeple-like followers of the Demos recover from their kool-aid induced dementia!
Yours truly,
Penske

He authored a scathing dissent to an opinion upholding partial birth abortion ban laws (challenged on the basis that they were too vague) in two or three states in the 7th Circuit a few years ago. Dead in the water from that point on. And he is way too old -- he gave up the Chief Judge position a year or two ago.

His stuff on baby-selling probably wouldn't help him, either. And the stuff about our future robot overlords was a little out there, too.

For Slave, More Lies from Your Friend TurdShifter*
Plame's Identity Marked As Secret
Memo Central to Probe Of Leak Was Written By State Dept. Analyst
By Walter Pincus and Jim VandeHei
Washington Post Staff Writers
Thursday, July 21, 2005; Page A01
A classified State Department memorandum central to a federal leak investigation contained information about CIA officer Valerie Plame in a paragraph marked "(S)" for secret, a clear indication that any Bush administration official who read it should have been aware the information was classified, according to current and former government officials.
Plame -- who is referred to by her married name, Valerie Wilson, in the memo -- is mentioned in the second paragraph of the three-page document, which was written on June 10, 2003, by an analyst in the State Department's Bureau of Intelligence and Research (INR), according to a source who described the memo to The Washington Post.
+
The paragraph identifying her as the wife of former ambassador Joseph C. Wilson IV was clearly marked to show that it contained classified material at the "secret" level, two sources said. The CIA classifies as "secret" the names of officers whose identities are covert, according to former senior agency officials.
Anyone reading that paragraph should have been aware that it contained secret information, though that designation was not specifically attached to Plame's name and did not describe her status as covert, the sources said. It is a federal crime, punishable by up to 10 years in prison, for a federal official to knowingly disclose the identity of a covert CIA official if the person knows the government is trying to keep it secret.

* Good luck on the bar. I hope you have a nice vacation planned afterwords. I can't imagine sitting through another one of those.

Report: 3.6m face Niger starvation
Thursday, July 21, 2005; Posted: 5:34 a.m. EDT (09:34 GMT)
Manage Alerts | What Is This? LONDON, England (AP) -- About 3.6 million people face starvation in the West African nation of Niger unless the international community responds urgently to the food crisis there, the aid agency Oxfam said Thursday.
Niger, one of the poorest countries in the world, was devastated by an invasion of locusts that ate everything green last year and was then hit by drought that lasted until earlier this month.

Damn, I wish I had a wife that worked in the CIA so I could go there.

Plame's name marked secret (b/c she's covert) in WH memo
(yes, it's not breaking news, except to some).

I hear that center has a sweet pool.

From the article:
- Rove has also testified that the first time he saw the State Department memo was when "people in the special prosecutor's office" showed it to him, said Robert Luskin, his attorney.
It also doesn't shed any light on one of the conditions set forth in the statute (i.e., that the person outed was, indeed, covert in the last 5 years).

Sounds like perjury to me.

I think that's the way the prosecutor is viewing it. He knows he will have a harder time with the statute, but perjury may be an easier case to make.

That's not the only condition.
- (B) a United States citizen whose intelligence relationship to the United States is classified information, and—
(i) who resides and acts outside the United States as an agent of, or informant or source of operational assistance to, an intelligence agency, or
(ii) who is at the time of the disclosure acting as an agent of, or informant to, the foreign counterintelligence or foreign counterterrorism components of the Federal Bureau of Investigation; or
