I was going to ask us why you subject us to these types of posts. One of two things is true: (1) You know what your husband's reaction is going to be, so you don't ask him and therefore make up entire posts about his overreaction or (2) You know what your husband's reaction is going to be, ask him anyway and give us his actual and the most predictable answer (he's a cop, you both spend your time drinking coors light and watching football and/or hockey and you both love NASCAR) we could all post for you.

So, what's the point of it? I realize I post the same shit over and over again. See:

But at least it's fun to look at.

Driving School

An early Christmas present appears to be an overwhelming hit. If you have a car enthusiast on your shopping list, look into the BMW Precision Driving Experience clinics. Class got out about half an hour ago, and I just got a phone call reporting, "IloveditIloveditIloveditIlovedit!!!!"

The course was the 3-series course, and there were three instructors (two formula 1 race car drivers from Brazil and a F-1 test driver) and six students (5 guys and my sister). The course started at 8 this morning and got out about 4:30 and it sounds like pretty much all of it was spent in the car. They did the skid pad driving, all sorts of turning and reaction time, and how to drive really, really, really fast. At the end, there was a race, and my sister came in second. From now on I'm recruiting her to be the driver any time I have to make a speedy getaway, as she is the only person in the family who knows how to do a 180 turn safely at high speeds. Other members of the family are now seething in jelousy.

Other than that I didn't really read your post so I won't comment.

Ties

Serious question: What do you do with ties?

It just occurred to me that I have had the tie that I am wearing for about 3 years (and have worn it at least 10 times a year)and it hasn't been washed. Is it possible to wash/dry clean a silk tie? I have never seen anyone bring ties to the dry cleaner. Is this possible/advisable? Would washing ruin (or wrinkle) them?

Both Aloha and Ozzy are, to my knowledge, male.

Sorry, read it to fast and thought it was about Sharon given the Re: line.

Well, Ozzy is interesting in a sort of fat, ugly, brain-dead kind of way. But the money bumps him up 2 looks categories, so he is just fat and brain-dead.

I have had midpriced ties (not handmade jobs, but nice nonetheless) drycleaned with success (damn Marinara). I don't know if more expensive ties hold up as well, but if you've got a spot on it, what have you got to loose? If you don't have a spot, and the tie's not funky (I know you've worn it 30 times, but it doesn't come into direct contact with your body, and I assume you don't sweat through your shirts in your demanding box-bitch job- how bad could it be?), why take a risk?

Not that a three year old tie belongs anywhere but the Salvation Army.

You know, I also think Halle is gorgeous, and I know she must be your top laminated list girl, but I've always been more partial to Thandie Newton. Course, she doesn't have an Oscar, but I think she's just as pretty (or prettier) than Halle.

Anybody else have any comments? Or better pictures?

Anyway, I just wanted to check in and see if you managed to get yourself laid this weekend. Whether the lurkettes from this board met you, or you scraped up something on your own? And most improtantly how many Lestertinis* did it take to get them to put out?
I'm not sure if I qualify as a lurkette or something scraped up, but either whichway, a metrosexual does not kiss and tell. Sorry.
