Close. It means that everyone who attends the rally has also committed treason by association.

What you're seeing when you really push any Lefty about Kos and DU is their true, almost subconscious allegiance of thought with those nuts coming to the surface.

These people don't like our country. They don't like what controls our country and deep down, they think we should try as much as possible for a society where no one's a loser. They're not capitalists.

They have a position, and its a philosophically valid one to argue. The problem is, our society doesn't accept soft socialism, so they're doomed to always be unsatisfied. Their positions are necessarily un-American. I can sympathize with them. It must suck to have to argue from that position.
I don't really think this is true. In the first place, I think that you will find that most of the liberals on this board are in favor of equality of opportunity, not equality of outcome. The difference is significant.

It's not that there should be no losers in our society, so much as that there shouldn't be a large class of people condemned to be losers by virtue of their birthplace or parents. I also think that recognizing the reality that there will be losers in our society should lead to a conclusion that the rest of us have an obligation to offer the losers some measure of support. You can argue that it would be cheaper and more efficient to kill them, but that seems to upset a lot of liberals and conservatives.

As far as Kos goes, I've never actually read him, or any other political blog, except for Wonkette. And I only read her for the ass-fucking news.

So don't judge me.

How do you figure? He directly participated in a conspiraccy to provide arms to our enemies and to rebels that were actively killing DEA agents in South America. That sounds like acts of war against the United States to me.

How is he not a traitor, but Cindy Sheehan, a deluded, attention-seeking loon that nobody takes seriously and only assholes exploit for their own selfish ends, is? Do you need a refresher on what constitutes treason?

So you are in favor of arming Iran?

I have made a note in your file.

I think he's pissed because: (a) the Army probably manipulated the situation to create this "story" and (b) he disagrees with those soldiers' substantive position that, essentially, if you don't support the Administration's policy you don't "support the troops."

I think that the position enunciated in the article he discusses are simplistic and wrong. That said, those folks are entitled to have and express their opinions just like the soldiers interviewed who say "This situation is all fouled up." He has no business taking a "How dare they" point of view.

I think that perhaps you need to review the histourical record, but then again, I wouldn't expect someone who illegally threatened the life of the President to have a clear view of treason.

Another of RT's heroes has fallen

I'm very, very sad about Molly Ivins' death. She was an awesome lady, and a good, hysterical check on the government. I don't think her voice can be replaced.

This sucks.

Is this your answer to anyone who disagrees with you?

Warner represents many things that the GOP used to be and should aspire to be again. His integrity and record of public service are beyond reproach. His gravitas is well earned, and ability to work with colleagues across the aisle to get things done is commendable. He is respected across the mainstream political spectrum.

Unfortunately, our politics in the past 20+ years has come to be dominated by much more partisan, rigid, and myopic men and women -- about half of whom seem to march in lockstep with your Board persona. We've seen the results, and they aren't pretty.

P.S. In any event -- talk is you may get your wish. Warner may not run for reelection.

Front page story of the NYT last week detailed the efforts of brave Americans in Iraq to save a little girl in the midst of a firefight with insurgents. Did you miss that one? Or were they just making it up?
I believe Ty was saying that the NYT makes stuff up.

I'm the one that says that they routinely betray the national interest, bordering on treason.

The America of 2006 is a much freer more fully realised version of the shining city on the hill that god envisioned and destined for it, than the Peanutfarmer America of 1979. the lion's share of the credit goes to Reagan, W, Gingrich, Scalia, Rehnquist and a few others. Warner was at best a bit player and a little too much of a hot dog at times, at the expense of team.

Plus, again, I question the integrity, sanity and morality of anyone who would marry a freak like Liz Taylor. Do you think he ever had a foursome with MJ and Bubbles?

I wonder how much the Republican caucus will shrink once it's finally shed of Penske-identified "dead wood."
