I don't own any Birkenstocks, I do however own similar type shoes and my feet don't slide out. Your feet are either too big or too small for the shoes if they are sliding (most likely too big). Or, if they are old, the back is simply worn out.

I think this is the design you should get, though:

DO you know what this one is called? I'll get them if I can find them.

Excuse me, but "proactive" and "paradigm"? Aren't these just buzzwords that dumb people use to sound important? Not that I'm accusing you of anything like that.

There will always be classic rock stations.

I only own sandal birks and I ahve no problem sliding out of them, however, anything that has a toe cover and no back (slides, mules...) have always been a problem for me...and I want to buy a pair, but don't want to waste the money if I'm going to have that problem.

They have a pig:
and a sheep:
too.
I have psuedostocks, with no back strap--the "Arizona" style, it would appear. Knockoffs for 1/3 the price.

I have never reacted with disdain to Gang of Four.
Musical tastes are subjective. Bands are not "good" or "bad." They just appeal to different audiences. There is no point tryng to argue that the bands that appeal to your subjective musical tastes are "better" than the bands that appeal to the subjective musical tastes of someone else. It is like trying to argue that green is a better color than blue. It is a waste of time and you end up sounding like an assweasel.

shoot...you beat me to it. I have fake birks and there is something about a real birk footbed which is lacking in the fake-me-outs.

I did and I didn't. I'm not sure that I was happy with the resolution, though I can't really put my finger on what I would have wanted changed or expanded. I think that most loose ends were tied up, but maybe a little too nicely.

It's shit like that that makes me refuse to by Birkenstock. Why not blame the granola-eating, unshowered, birkenstock-wearing owners of the company for their elitist policies that don't allow adults to buy children's shoes?
