I don't suffer too many fundamentalists, but from what I've seen, the Southern Baptists have a real issue with low membership standards. In all seriousness, its very hard to discern the Southern Baptist televangelist programs from an episode of Cops.

I watched one SBC preacher talk earnestly about how women have a duty to not disagree with their husbands. I thought it was a joke, or the guy was some nut. Then I saw him again listed as one of the frequent religious leaders who visit the White House! The crazy bastard is a Harvard grad. Yet he believes the world is 6000 years old!

Fuck all that talk of poor minorities in New Orleans. Those people may be poor, but they seem to have common sense and will do just fine given some opportunities. What we need to really tackle in this country is the lower-to-middle class crazy white trash problem. It appears the SBC is the best place to start. They seem to flock there like flies on shit.

I've given up trying to figure out all of those christian sects out long ago. That these guys and these guys are both Baptists confirms what the nuns always told me about protestants picking and choosing what they want and ignoring the True Church.

They always tout their fucking charity, as though giving a few million after a hurricane somehow makes up for the years of societal damage they inflict on us all.

Is there annoy who can quibble with the notion that this nation would be a far better place if we exiled the SBC to Madagascar? They're a tumor on the country - an oozing pus-filled chancre in the nation's colon.

Which one? There must be at least a dozen Southern Baptist churches near where I live.

all we need do is get the Baptists snake-handling and stryknine drinking. You start doing that shit each sunday, and pretty soon you find yourself worrying less and less about what the other guy is doing, plus it has the benefit of culling out a good percentage.

I don't even know what the subject is today. I feel out of touch with all of all y'all.

Have we all agreed that the Alito thing is a go?

no no no. big problems. A DU regular poster who writes a blog thinks there's a problem because he dissented in a case about whether a cop can get sued for searching a person using a search warrant the cop thought was okay.

It carried a maximum sentence of 5 years. I'll bet Libby can cut as good a deal as Berger, including giving up his security clearance.
