(a) ok, I'm not really totally sure, but some sort of 80s hair act, I think.

(b) it/they are a huge favorite of Mr Man's (maybe he should have chosen that name as a moniker?) and, coincidentally, he had them playing on the iPod when I came up to bed the other night (2 or 3 nights ago) and instead of turning them off, I just turned the volume down, so as I was laying there, trying to fall asleep, that version of Wild World came on and I thought "hmm, I did not know that they covered that song."

Clearly the universe was, once again, trying to push gwnc and I together. How long can we continue to ignore these signs?
Hmm. I am familiar with Mr. Big. They did some other song that I can't remember the title of. This song had Axl-like yowling in it, so I think it's not the Mr. Big version.

I love hot court reporters.
We get the occasional hot court reporter, if we're litigators.

Doctors get smoking hot former-cheerleader drug reps coming to visit them every day.

Okay. I bow to your superior knowledge of all things hair band. And, now that I think about it, it might have been a cover of Father and Son. One of those Cat Stevens songs. I'll check the iPod tonight.

I've never had any other sort of client. I have a gift for talking with physicians and making them think that my idea is their idea. And for all they bitch about insurance companies' lack of compliance with prompt pay laws (did ya'll see all those lawsuits filed this week?), they're not really keen on the concept when dealing with their lawyers.

Don't even get me started on "The Lonely Goatherd."

And, now that I think about it, the answer to "How do you solve a problem like Maria?" is rather obvious. Anal!

Apropos of nothing, earlier today I sent fringey a PM with "eager young lads, and roues and cads" as the re line.

I had an argument with a law school classmate about the best kind of clients. He likes doctors who dabble in business dealings -- they have the money to pay their bills, but because they think that they are smarter than they are, they avoid getting a lawyer up front, so when the deal goes bad and fingers are pointed and shouts of "fraud!" fill the air, and they get a lawyer, it's so fucked up that it requires a ton of billable work. I told him that I prefer large companies that are used to litigation, and don't take lawsuits personally.
I think I would agree with you, but on the transactional side. Doctors are a pain in the ass because they always expect you to get whatever they want/need done NOW and they are the slowest payers in the world.

"Moon River." (See "Fletch.")

RT's friend also forgot "Let My Love Open the Door" by Pete Townsend.

You work with Doctors on Doctor stuff. Arrogance there would be more acceptable, I think, than arrogance over say patent law.

What about the entire body of work by the Butthole Surfers. I do like the name of one of their albums "A Brown Reason to Live."
