Not sure if you own it, or just assume, but I assumed. And I was burned. I'm not happy with the design, and it has very small volume for the size of the bag. Barely holds three days worth of stuff. Of the $10k or so I've spent at CostCo in the last few years, it's the only $90 I've been unhappy with.

Was this your first Don Cherry experience? What did he say? Did he rip on Hossa and Alfredson for being European? Take Burns to task for relying on Johannsen? What?

No one has misplaced concerns about carryons...
Concur. Twice, even. I appreciate that the airlines don't really have enough carry-on space for everyone, and that I might occasionally have to check my bag. For the standard (for me) two day transactional trip involving the rolling carry-on[1] and the "laptop" bag stuffed full of neccessary files[2], totaling "one" carryon, it works out fine if I get on early. I would love to be the last guy on the plane and not worry about space, but once they lose your shit once after you have to check it and you end up wearing the same outfit for three days because you have absolutely no time and end up surviving on what you can scrounge from the hotel and quick trips to the local shops[3], you'll never be the last guy on the plane again. I normally hate being the overbearing, front of the line asshole, but I really hated losing my shit.[4]

[1] Fits fine in the overhead bin.

[2] Fits fine under the seat.

[3] Thank GOD it was a big city, otherwise I would have been fucked.

[4] Sadly, I'm only "elite" on one carrier. On the rest, I'm a nobody. [Insert joke here.]

My coup de grais was when I realized they absolutely don't want to get into an accident, even a fender bender, because they lose an hours' worth of fares, and cops will always ticket them. They'll get close, but they'll blink first.

Is this a trick question? The third tribe was Saboga and it consisted of Tina, Rudy, Ethan, Jerri, Rupert and Jenna. Saboga lost the first two immunity challenges and voted out Tina and Rudy. Then Saboga lost a reward challenge and as a result, the tribe was dissolved and the other two tribes got to choose which members of Saboga they wanted to absorb. Mogo Mogo chose Ethan and Jerri and Chapera chose Rupert and Jenna.

Do I get a prize?

God, my life sucks. Why can't I remember anything vaguely law-related as well as I remember this crap?

The Apprentice

Apparently all the different jobs listed on Omarosa's resume made her appear attractive to the Donald . . .

(from yesterday's Washington Post):

Quote:
Pre-'Apprentice,' Burning Her Bridge to the 21st Century

• Based on Omarosa Manigault-Stallworth's two-year stint in the Clinton administration, it's no surprise that she got fired on NBC's "The Apprentice," reports the new edition of People magazine. She was "banished" from four jobs during her run in government, the mag says.

Omarosa had four jobs in two years in the Clinton administration, says People. (Rebecca D'Angelo - For The Washington Post)
"She was asked to leave as quickly as possible, she was so disruptive," says Cheryl Shavers, former undersecretary for technology at the Commerce Department, where Manigault-Stallworth worked in 2000. "One woman wanted to slug her."

At the White House, she started out answering Vice President Al Gore's invitations, then served in the personnel office, which led to two gigs at the Commerce Department.

When we asked Manigault-Stallworth recently about rumors of her unstable job history, she said they were absolutely untrue. She blamed the final job transfer on a colleague at Commerce who, she said, had it in for her.
spoiler (sort of)

Guess she impressed another boss last night. Is this woman employable anywhere other than the House of Lies?

I don't watch the show, so I can't tell the blonde chicks apart, but one of them said on the Today show this morning that posing in her bra and panties for FHM was maybe not the wisest decision. She said that she got caught up in the all the reality show publicity, and that, on second thought (apparently her brain didn't kick in at the first opportunity), maybe a piece of pouting chest-thrusting T&A isn't the image a future business leader wants to project.

I think she's wrong. In fact, I plan to go both braless and commando at my next interview.

I was thinking about this yesterday.

The best athletes in the world are almost always the most cocky people around. I guess it's a fine line to tread between unwavering confidence and pure arrogance. But, jesus.

He backed himself into a corner by saying there was nothing Butch Harmon knows about his swing now that he can't address. I thought it was bullshit when he first said it. But now it's clear. He's just being stubborn.

And what's funny is that he swallowed his pride early on (after destroying the field at the '97 Masters) to totally overhaul his swing. He was looking for consistency. He found it. Now it's gone and he won't go back to even tweak his swing.

What makes it worse is that Adam Scott won the Player's with a swing constructed to perfectly mimic his 2000 swing. How much more evidence does Tiger need? It is no longer the same swing. He should just swallow his pride and go back to Harmon. And he should look at their accomplishments as a team effort. Because that's exactly what it was.

Tiger is still great. He'll win more tournaments than everyone else. But he won't regain that virtually unbeatable form until he corrects the minor flaws in his swing. Hell, with his club head speed, any minor flaw is very exaggerated.

That self confidence that made him so amazing once is now keeping him from the goals he has set for himself. It's very frustrating to watch.

Pay attention. I don't go to court, jackass.

But let's break it down and we'll see if you choose to ignore why you're full of shit.

What we know
BnB was talking during the safety presentation.
The stewardess noticed BnB wasn't paying attention and asked her to confirm that she understood her responsibilities with a verbal yes.

What a reasonable person can assume
BnB was talking at a normal conversational level, while ignoring the stewardess.
BnB was not asked by the stewardess to keep it down.
The announcements were broadcast at a level similar to all other flights such that someone talking over them would have to be talking very loud. This applies to BnB's flight as well as yours.

What bilmore knows
Once, on a flight you took, someone spoke over the announcements.

So, what are the reasonable assumptions to draw? That BnB was talking loud enough to overpower the sound system on the plane? No. There is nothing in her story that would lead anyone to assume this. In fact, the only reason it is an issue is because you asserted it could be a possibility. No argument there. Of course it's a possibility. But the key fact (as I pointed out to you and you're still willfully ignoring) is, it's so rare that it's not worth mentioning.

You know that. But you're bilmore. So common sense doesn't apply.
