The girl is (a) fretting over a relationship with you when you haven't even gotten to that point (b) too rude to return a call (c) rude enough to tell you this shit via email.

She's trouble. And not the good kind either.

Don't respond to her, don't call her, don't anything. Just forget about the nutcase.
She likely was not fretting about a big future relationship (at least I don't read the e-mail that way). Maybe she was rude not to return the call, but I'm sure she was only fretting to the extent that she was trying to figure out how to get out without hurting the guy's feelings. Sounds like she decided to send out an overly apologetic e-mail. That doesn't say nutcase to me. But maybe I am nutcase sensitive.

I'm not going to go back and re-read it, but I got the feeling she was coming up with a "it's not you, it's me" excuse. Didn't get nutcase vibes, really. But I skimmed.

Dear Nutcase:

If I were a kindergarten teacher and were going to break up with you, the above cretin, I would send you a burned CD of an endless loop of Sisqo's 'Thong Song', by email if that were an option in the state pen.

You'd get the message.

Yours,

Abby

You are right, probably not a nutcase. Instead she's a coward. I think that's worse. Nutcase, not so much the person's fault, cowardly, definitely the person's fault.

Why can't people just pick up the phone and say:

Thanks for asking, but, no.

Oh, by the by, saw In America this weekend. It is about an Irish immigrant family. Tear jerker, but good.

Spoiler

I don't know Paigow, the set up to the Suzy problem was forced. Why not buy 2, and say one is a gift? The good stuff doesn't raise your antenna when its set up. When Jeff told him to lie, the eventual Suzy rage was coming at me like a frieght train. Overall, a better episode, but I'm still seeing some dangerous signs.

Survivor Allstars

http://www.cnn.com/2004/SHOWBIZ/TV/0....ap/index.html

The chosen 18, representing all seven of CBS' past "Survivor" seasons, were announced Monday during the network's "Early Show." They face off when the hit reality-challenge series returns for its new edition after the Super Bowl telecast on February 1.

You see, I never knew how to date. I just did whatever I felt like, said whatever I thought, and let the old chips fall where they might.

God knows how I ever got married and bred.

But I did it My wayyyyyyy.

Agree on the setup. Last week's episode had too many setups that you could expect to have ramifications for the entire season, and I don't think it's just because I know what I'm looking for in the show.

Ben Stiller is such a perfect foil for Larry, though, that I think the season will be good.

And I thought of the FB when Cheryl ranted about Larry's being obsessed with TITS!!!

If I'm not mistaken, you're from Western New York, am I right? If so, your dad must have been one busy sonofagun, because growing up watching Buffalo news (with Irv Weinstein) it looked like Buffalo, Tonawanda, Cheektowaga and the surrounding areas averaged about 4 fires per day. Buffalo news was all fires, all the time. My fifth grade friends and I would walk around in the school yard saying "did you see that four-alarm baby at the foundry in Lakawanda last night? That was a beaut!"

(Toronto TV watchers get the Buffalo network affiliates for NBC, CBS and ABC).

Spoiler space still key- I can avert and scroll past when I see it like I did for the APprentice which I thought was gonna be on again this weekend but wasnt.

SPOILER

concur- saw the suzy thing coming a mile away- that wasnt what I meant as being funny. What was funny was that 1) they were just so fucking awful looking so as to be funny and 2) the blind guy wearing it was funny bc he was the only one who couldnt tell how awful the shirt was and he looked really funny wearing it and playing piano. the suzy part waws forced as was the whole ben stiller- larry david confrontation. Furthe,r I thought the business aboutr the kebob sticks was almost a mockery of the entire series which was why i thought it might be Larry giving the finger to the award handing out establishment. just awful.

Agreed. She got cold feet for whatever reason and actually thought it would be kinder to dump Mr. Anon via email to save him from voice-to-voice humiliation.

I would also say that BRC's three-time busy rule has probably been replaced with e-dumping. For one thing, BRC's rule overlooks the existence of voicemail/answering machines and caller ID. It would be weird to return three calls and each time say, uh no, I'm busy forever. And I'd argue that it is ruder to fail to return multiple phone calls than to write a kiss-off email.

Mr. Anon, just move on and forget about her.

I don't get it either. A bunch of guys in a half circle with another guy bunting to them. How can that be so objectionable as to merit being universally banned? It looks gay, sure; but we're talking about basball. It isn't dangerous.
