What's so funny about peace, love, and understanding?

Damn, Flower, just when I thought that I understood how to use that word correctly, you throw this curveball. Fuck it, I give up.

When you say "nicey-nice" in that sneeringly dismissive tone, it hurts my feelings. It makes me think that you don't value my contributions to the ebb and flow of board discussion.

But I will try to take the lemon of your disdain and turn it into the lemonade of self-improvement. I will work on becoming more than simply a mere voice of seemingly reasonable vapidity. I will strive to post more than just my usual tiresomely faux avuncular middlebrow nonsense.

Thank you, Flower.

There is a place for the nicey-nice and the friendly-friend. Posters will need a shoulder to cry on, and not just the tears induced by ill-suited Cardiffian warblers. But if every poster is all nicey-nice all the time, we might as well just post Wiggles videos here so posters can log on and stare at the screen drooling and grinning. You stay true to yourself, but I suggest you do so by taking the lemon of my wisdom and using the juice to brine the raw seafood of poster's hurt feelings into a safe and delicious online cyber-chatting board for lawyers.

You need to make your bones. We need someone to take NFH down a few notches. All you need do is reply to some of her posts implying confusion in something she said based upon an unstated position that she is actually male. I give you this franchise.

You know, I usually associate the word "brine" with a salt and water mixture, maybe with some sugar and herbs, or perhaps even beer or wine. I'm not sure "brine" is the right word for your lemon juiced seafood. Marinate, perhaps? Cure?

Because the mutual fellatio left them spent?

I like "cure." Let's go with "cure."

You can buy it by the case, and pour it in your face.

What does it do for your Indian mango margaritas?

I got a wrong number answering machine message from some doctor telling the person he thought he was reaching that he was uncomfortable prescribing some medication for him, because he wasn't a psychiatrist.

I was just embarrassed for everyone involved, so I pretended it didn't happen. Until now.

That is the exact opposite of every doctor I have ever had, all of whom absolutely refuse to leave a message with any substance in it. Even when the message, says "This is Burger's voicemail . . ." The message is always "This is Doctor K. Your test results are back. Let's discuss."

Your doctors have very good HIPAA privacy officers.

I know -- that's why I was embarrassed for the guy (the doctor) and didn't call him back, even though it was a medical thing. I have never had a doctor leave a message like that unless she had cleared it specifically beforehand.
