Cheeseburger egg rolls were quite strong at a place called the Elgin on 48th at 6th, I think. Recommended.

I have a partner who does this (despite the firm policy explicitly calling out the issue), and I have tried courteous requests, less courteous requests, and requests through the office managing partner, and ultimately moved on to open ridicule. I am not alone, and every time I call him out in the hall way I get a thank you from three or four of the nearby secretaries.
He seems to think he is making some kind of point, but the only point I get is that he is an idiot.

Except for me, my office has been pretty much mask free since June of 2020, when it reopened for in-person coughing in each others' mouths, I mean work. And only 6 outbreaks.

We did about the same, although sparsely in office from 6/2020 until about 6/2021. Then everyone required in 1 day/week, then late 2021 2 days/week. No "outbreaks" but the odd case from time to time- although not clear if caught here or elsewhere.
Of course, in public, in Michigan, Covid no longer exists as a thing (except in hospitals).

I was in three airports over the last two weeks and 20-30% of the people just had their masks down the entire time. It's not being enforced anymore.

They actually annoyed me more than anti-maskers did. With anti-maskers, you knew they'd be thrown out of the place. With the "Nose Doesn't Count" or "I Can't Keep my Mask Up" crowd, they'd be right there in the checkout line, or across the table at a meeting, and no one knew how to handle them.
Do I tell him? I want him to pay his bill, so I don't want to upset him...
I'm just a security guard. Whole Foods doesn't pay me to be nose-covering policeman.

Part of the problem among the non-deliberate actors in the Naked Nose crowd is those dumb cloth masks people like to wear. They're heavy as all fuck (with an outer layer custom crocheted by someone's niece) and gravity does what gravity does.
They're also disgusting. I favored gaters, using ones that veered from women's hair ties pulled over one's head to actual ski mask gaters, or barring that, those black thin stretch masks that cover the face tightly. They allowed one to breathe, whereas the homemade mask, thick as a pillow, appeared to nearly smother the user, while being weighed down with all sorts of perspiration. It struck me as equivalent to wearing a heavy wool sock on one's face.

We've since learned that they are all worthless. Once vaxed I stopped wearing one outside and now religiously wear a KN95 indoors everywhere but my house.
But I've been told my black KN95 with hooded Denali is a good Vaderesque look.

Jesus, man. We're past the shortages. You should be wearing N95 or KN95 masks.

I'd cross the room to avoid you if you were heading my way.
Gaters? Cloth? You like to send that "I do stuff half-assed" vibe, do you?

Yeah, we have a new outbreak. Half my hallway is now out with Covid. I'm not going near the place for while.
This was completely foreseeable, but I guess the country has just given up on fighting it for the time being. Maybe once deaths hit 2 million.
