I think she means couples make lists of people they are allowed to sleep with despite being in a relationship (ala Friends).

Thread Title
Dear Penske,
The thread title brings to mind a horrible REO Speedwagon song. "fureverrrrrr"
Can it be changed to Go Seahawks?

1. I don't sock.
2. I didn't see that ppnyc weighed in on this. Don't make shit up.
3. I am not sure what "retarded" means here (above), but I recently had my ears pinned back, sts, by a parent of a developmentally delayed child when I used that word offhandedly, so I stopped using it.
4. Maybe you think its a lousy title, that's fine. I think a lot of your posts suck, i.e. my comment about subjectivity, but I don't weigh in each time to say that. You obviously think that they are fine and/or worthwhile so that is what it is. I either scroll or don't read or read and frown or whatever. No big deal
5. the contest is what the contest is, if you don't want my title, win the contest. I won. I picked it a gratuitously self-congratulatorily self-promotional title. That is who I am. I have never said I wasn't a gratuitious trash talker. In fact, irl, I own up to it quite frequently.

Lists of people you have fucked. Not that you want to fuck, although that was one topic of this week's episode.
Seth Green was in the episode and every time he saw Eric he intimated that he had had sex with Eric's girlfriend, except Eric said that Seth Green wasn't on the "list." Turtle said "list?" and Eric said, in a pissy, holier-than-thou smug serially monogamous tone, "Yeah, the list. Couples make lists, Turtle." and I thought to myself "they do?"
Then Vince said "everyone leaves someone off the list, Eric," in a
"poor, naive Eric, believing what his hot, Hollywood-inside girlfriend said about her past" kind of tone. That was the only thing that struck me as true, if you accept the premise that couples make lists, Turtle. Hell, if I were to make a list I have a Seth Green or two that I would leave off, even if the only person ever to see the list were me.
Maybe in Hollywood couples make lists because there's so much gossip?

Around the original Friends airing, I recall having conversations along those lines, but nothing serious. Afterall, living in Minnesota, how often are you going to run into one of these people.
And now, of course, I am celibate.

If my list could be limited to people who are famous and about whom there might be gossip, I'd be up for making a list. Of nothing. To my knowledge.*
*Meaning, it is entirely possible I have unwittingly fucked someone famous but I wasn't aware of his fame. Not that someone famous might have fucked me, but I was unaware of the fucking.

Mrs. Wonk and I made lists after watching the Friends "list" episode. Every once in a while, we will see someone particularly bang-worthy on TV or in a movie and will put them on the list. Of course, if I ever actually slept with someone on my list, she would not view it as okay by any means.
So the answer to your question for me is, yes couples do it and no, it doesn't mean a fucking thing.
ETA you, naturellement, are on my list.

Jesus. I have never made one of those lists either. About 10 years ago, while drunk, a friend (male fwiw) and I tried to name everyone that we had ever slept with, and we gave up. I thank the superior being every day that I'm disease-free.
