Clearly talking to our emenies is always a bad idea.

But I wonder when, five or six years from now, when North Korea starts up its nuke program again, the Rs on this board will curse Shrub's foolish diplomacy as worthless appeasement.

You know, like they did to the deals that Clinton struck with N.K.

Query

I recently met a "friend" and we sort of hit it off, iykwim. We discussed getting together for some future play, but now I have googled this person and discovered campaign contributions to Senator Maria Cantwell and Howard Dean's presidential campaign.

Should I call it off now? How do I explain the sea change?

1) It is worthless appeasement - nothing but a fool's errand.

2) If they actually agree to giving this tyrant anything other than a slap in the face, then you won't have to wait five or six years to hear me cursing.

You really see no value in five or six years worth of delay in the N.K. nuke program (or even two or three years)?

Where was the finger wag?

Ari Fleischer leaked Plame's name too.

Maybe someone can refresh my recollection, but wasn't he busily denying that anyone in the White House was involved?

I would like to see work suggesting that giving administrators the power to fire teachers more easily will be used wisely. If the problem with public schools is with the administrators rather than the teachers, it won't do any good.

It's not like I haven't been honest with you about this from day 1. Christ.

I've googled you. You didn't give anything to Maria Cantwell, but, I appreciate the public affirmation that we are obviously not on break. Eat your heart out Hank!

Translation: Penske drank an industrial-grade Wyoming pinot gris last night and today he cannot distinguish between the following two propositions: "public-school administrators are incompetent" and "blame Bush."

i'm fairly sure Wyomingians would use Grigio before Gris. No French in the red states.

France used to own much of Wyoming.
