So of course, like the pathetic person that I am, I paid the man on went on my merry way.
Oh- Does anyone have any familiarity with a "Old Raj" Gin? It's very expensive for gin. Guys in store told me its the best em tasted - just chill and pour in Martini glass, no vermouth needed (so of course I bought this too, just haven't opened it yet).

Princess - where'd you go?

Ah, Princess. Inviting the rest of world to our secret and private rendezvous?
I should have known better. The Monarchy always builds up the hopes and dreams of the slaves and peasants - yet always crushes them down in the end.

that said, a lot of people don't actually tie the windsor correctly -
Correct
Incorrect, though what this site call the "English" knot is actually the Windsor done correctly.

I have a pile of Hermes and Ferragamo ties collecting dust in my closet. Years ago, it was "cool" to wear the fine thin Italian silk jobs. And it still is. If you're 55, or live in a time warp where Don Johnson is still the most sought after actor alive.
A good tie should have some weight to it. The Ferragamos and Hermes things are nice quality fabric, but utterly useless unless you're 5'5. For a person of my height, who wears a tie just past his belt line (if you wear it above, you look like a jackass), those ties simply aren't long enough. The Italians and French, they are short. Tyrwhitt are fine ties. Burberry are good. Zegna, Polo Purple label, Canali are also nice. I don't buy ties by braand. in usually just pick one up, and it it feels like it'll hold aa nice knot on a spread collar and I like the pattern, I buy it. I genrally favor stripes aand polka dots, but my wife got my into thosenew multicolor Etro types jobs, which are relly nice.
Fuck stupid little Ferragamo prints. Utterly uncreative shiite for people wanting to look like they have some blue blood sophistication.

It looks great if the tie has some pattern (in either texture or color) to make it stand out from the shirt.

I hope you're not the sort of pimp who beats his bitches with a closed fist. Or are you Robert Evans? Its an awful look pushed by Hollywood types for years. Its "The Regis" turned sideways. Four thumbs down. If I were Joan Rivers' daughter, I'd spit on you.

Yo, fringey!
How's your friend the Prince of Pomposity doing? Has he forgiven Will Smith for the trademark infringement arising out of naming his show The Fresh Prince of Belair?

I can't even remember his last name, so I can't look him up on Martindale. I think will predated him.
What's for dinner?
ETA I am seriously considering getting this: https://www.feelbest.com/shop/produc...ID=06752000000 Or maybe in 30; my forearms are aging rapidly.

Hey Gatti, what weight motor oil do you use with the family sedan? 10/30W or what?

Oh please. You know "what's for dinner" is a universal question. It's the ultimate food conversation.
Mmmmm, food.

The cattle industry tempts me to say Beef (It's What's For Dinner), but I think it is a trap. Especially because I'm not really eating the cows of late. Until I get home, the answer is Nothing Unless The Lure Of The Vending Machines Becomes Too Strong.

What vending machine options do you have? We have only stuff like chips/cookies/candy bars (not sandwiches, milk, etc.).
Mmmmm, vending machine tuna salad sandwich with partially obliterated "consume by" date!
