Did you claim credit for the "big boy" to impress her with your manliness?

Brittney Spears

Brittney has cancelled her summer tour after an injury during Snoop's video shoot. All you guys out there with tickets will have to ask Str8 for a refund.

No fire. It might make sense to have Kimmel routinely insult cities prior to a championship so they have a chip on their shoulder.

As it was ending, these statements from Rip/Chauncey/Ben come on the screen basically saying "We all did something great, now don't go fuck it up." Can you imagine all the planning that goes into something like a final game, buy hats/champaign okay, but take time away from practice to film a spot like that i wouldn't have thought of.

I can't either (even with all the nice things Tim Howard is saying about him), but it was still an amazing goal. You can slow it down and change the angle in Virtual Replay. I'm still amazed at the angle.

Who's Comin' With Me?

So, I'm swamped today and just don't give a crap anymore.

I decided I would go down and grab some lunch instead of working straight through, because I just don't give a crap anymore.

It's absolutely beautiful outside. The kind of day that makes you want to work outdoors, with your hands. Why didn't I become a carpenter?

So, since I don't give a crap anymore, I'm wondering if I should revise my life plan.

I think I'm going to move to Hawaii. If I can build enough to buy a modest house in Maui, not too far from the beach, I won't need anything else. I could work as a bartender or a waiter. Greens fees are for tourists in Hawaii. I'll be a local.

That's all I want. It's not asking too much. I've made up my mind. And I just don't give a crap anymore.

When you just don't give a crap anymore, you may visit me there. But only if you really don't give a crap anymore. It won't be hard to confirm that you don't -- that glazed-over, dead look in your eye will remind me of when I didn't give a crap too. Just tap me on the shoulder when you get there and I'll get out of the hammock and show you where you can put your stuff.

That's the new plan. Because this shit here? This is for suckers. Suckers who still give a crap.

PS - NotBob, I even found a place for you in Haiku.

Lance Lance underpants

Discovery communications replaces USPS as sponsor for Lance Armstrong's biker team. Armstrong's team will be known as The Discovery Channel Pro Cycling Team.

One of the most intriguing aspects of the deal with Discovery is that Armstrong has evolved into a polished public speaker — will become an on-air personality for the cable group. He most likely will be featured on Discovery's health- and fitness-oriented properties after he stops racing.

Armstrong held up a prototype 2005 jersey: white with black shoulder strips and the Discovery logo that incorporates an image of the Earth from space.

Armstrong was accompanied by his girlfriend, rock star Sheryl Crow.

they always have to say something about Sheryl

There don't appear to be any pics yet. I am curious to see what it looks like. Still, he will hopefully be wearing yellow (knock on wood) so his jersey won't matter...

go lance go!!!

It's missing a few of the many other sponsors' labels that will appear on it . . .

Great concept. Do it now, before you get the old shackles put on you. Before you have a kid to worry about seeing grow up in a healthy, safe home environment; to provide an education for, because these days you can't get a job as a bartender without five years experience or a degree in hospitatlity management in anything better than a biker bar.

Do it before you have a chance to remember that you're going to get older someday, and your health might fade. Because then you'll need good insurance coverage, because without it your drugs will cost you $650/month and a one-night stay in a hospital will run you $2500.

Do it before ou get saddled with a mortgage payment that is high enough to put you in the top 3% income bracket if all you made each month is enough to cover PITI.

Most important, do it before you become so fucking cynical that you can no longer even think of escape as a possibility.

If there's still room, I'm in. I promise that I will not urinate on anyone's clothes, unless RT's sister visits. I sincerely don't give a crap either. I think my newly-chosen profession shall be a slow-speaking, big hat wearing caddie at one of the golf courses.

Saw this yesterday. What is VH1 thinking? I watch way too much reality TV and I wouldn't watch this with Amanda Byram's eyes. Charo and Brigitte Nielsen as the sex appeal? Is VH1's demographic fortysomethings now? This show may rival VH1's normal constant programming - talking "comedians" and "actors" trying to be wry and witty about the Best Week Ever or The top 100 Blowjobs of a Network Exec - for the worst "network" on TV.

In other reality news, Last Comic Standing ...

It will be interesting to watch mostly seasoned vets go at it this year, but Monty Hoffman should have made the house. He's been on the circuit it seems like forever, but he's been pretty damn funny the whole time, if somewhat of an asshole while on coke for most of the time.

The Fakers

For all those interested, the Sports Guy has a terrific story today about the Lakers/Pistons series. It even has a little tribute to Ralph Wiley...
