I think it's for real. I read a profile of Gore in the New Yorker in the fall, I think, which alluded to a secret new multimedia/television project he was involved in developing. Whether it will succeed is, of course, another matter entirely.

This reminds me of an unpleasant moment I had recently. I was visiting my parents, who I had bought a Tivo for Xmas, in the hopes of helping them maximize the time they have left, and my dad and I were watching something. I hit "pause" and it freezed on some guy with a goatee. My dad yelled to my mum who was in the kitchen "Come here, you gotta see the pubes on this guy's face".

1) I don't ever want to hear my dad say "pubes"
2) I can't believe my dad was thinks "pubes" when he sees a goatee.
