Moreover, where is the rest of it? The slice on the plate is only a small portion of what's missing. And how did the cake server get so clean?
And why are they serving it on the floor? Has to be cat food cake.

My bad. I forgot to replace his name with yours in the quote line. I wasn't confusing you. I think he said something like, "Mavs win in 5," but I'm pretty sure no one else was listening.

Games 4 and 5 could have gone either way, no question. But the Mavs didn't lose because of calls. They lost because they couldn't stop Wade and missed key free throws and lost a good player because of a flagrant foul committed out of frustration and botched their timeouts.

I didn't like the last call that gave Miami the lead, but it was no surprise that there was a call there. Wade had been aggressive for 30 straight possessions and was in traffic going to the hole. Yes, I know it was the end of the game and people seem to think that unless someone breaks something, the refs should swallow their whistles, but I think he came into contact with all 5 Mavs players while taking it hard to the basket. (I was yelling at him to pass the damn ball on that play, btw.) Bad call, but really not surprising.

Besides, the Mavs can't really complain about it since they wouldn't be here if the refs hadn't declined to call an obvious foul for Duncan in the final seconds in the last game of the last round.

So it is okay that they called something that they wouldn't normally call because the guy was taking the team to school earlier? Huh. I thought you were the guy who hates the preferential treatment given to name players. Did you see the foul calling to open the 3rd? What led to Avery Johnson's technical? Because even the announcers were picking up on the discrepancy in the calling. I'm not saying that changed the game, but the called foul with 1.9 clearly did. And I completely agree about free throws (in fact, I think I've said so in 2 posts today). Dallas lost the game last night at the line. The bad call at the end clinched it.

BTW, I didn't see Stackhouse's foul on Shaq (I was lucky enough to actually have a prior commitment that kept me from watching the disgrace that was game 4), but in your opinion was it suspension-worthy? Or was it done b/c it was a hard foul on Shaq? Because I've seen him throw a Maverick or two (airborn) in this series, but not get so much as a flagrent call. Just curious. I don't really watch enough b'ball to know what is and is not suspension-worthy.

I still have hope that it will be Mavs in 7. Though after this season, I will probably retire from watching NBA. This multi-game playoff format is just too stressful for me. Single elimination, baby. That is where it is at. NFL. NCAA.

It might if it is the right naked human.

And, frankly, i think if you came home to this scenario you would probably laugh.

or run away screaming in terror. If that is any different.

South Park. Good from start to end. Team America had some funny moments, but it also had a fair amount of ho-hum-dum.

Depending on who it was, you may be right about the laughing. But I think both of the people who immediately spring (sts) to mind are currently unavailable.

Wait, are you saying that it's OK for the ref to go straight to red in first half stoppage time when, but for the earlier red to De Rossi, he would have gone for the yellow? Especially with Pope already carrying a yellow? I thought you were the one who hates to see different standards applied based on earlier calls in the game . . .

Oh, um, never mind.
