I always wanted to Sabrina (and got to be, since everyone else was always dueling over Best Feathered Hair for the Farrah job). While I did find out later that, like Kelly, one actually can just flounce one's rack around and solve a case, it seemed then and now a cheesy way out.

Nascent urban legend gets weirder.
I posted a while back about a weird situation in which a woman found out she'd been set up on the Internet for a "simulated" rape scenario without her knowledge. Link to my post.
Well, it gets weirder. The guy who set her up? Her nephew. {Yahoo news.}

That kid will soon get to live out his own rape fantasy.

I sure did. We made those cuff-things out of tinfoil. Once we tied up the babysitter with the "magic lasso," which was played by the phone cord. I recall that we got into some trouble for that.

Stalking? That's the best they could come up with? Maybe he'll get to live out another rape fantasy in prison. Although the guards at the prison that Dave Atell visited last night said that the soap drop fear is an urban myth at their prison.

Adult Swimming
So this past week's Space Ghost took genius to a whole new level [Guest star: Triumph the Insult Comic Dog; Plot: Something about curing the world of retardos by sprinkling them with urine, and whether it's ok to say 'bang him in the ass' on TV]. Does anyone remember (or write down) the lyrics to Space Ghost's song he sings at the end, to the tune of Desparado? All I can remember is:
Hey Retardos/
Why don't you walk over here/
You've been out mending fences/
I'm betting you can't even walk now
[something about a warm golden cure]
[something about banging them, yes banging them in the assssss. . . .]
Your help is appreciated.

My brother and I tortured one babysitter by locking him (yes, him -- his name was Harlan; I think he's the only person I've ever met named Harlan) out of the house (under the ruse of playing hide-and-seek). He went home and got his mother to call us and give us a stern warning about letting Harlan back into the house.
We were cowed, of course, and let him back in.
I don't remember if we got in trouble or not.

My sister was hateful to one of our babysitters and made her cry. Something to do with eating stale bread, but I don't recall exactly.
I do recall making our babysitter drag us into the bedroom by our legs and then running back out to the living room and making her do it again (and again, and again). What fun!

I disagree. Last year's rotation was considered one of the best in baseball and there were a lot of question marks then too. Wells, Clemen's age, Weaver, etc. We won quite a few games last year.
This year, of course there are question marks. But I think we've improved over what we would have had if we re-signed Pettitte, Clemens and Wells. We got younger at every position, and if we hadn't made any moves, you'd be telling me all about how old our staff was.
And you're missing the effect the strengthened bullpen will have on the starting five. Pitch 6 innings and hit the showers with a warm and fuzzy feeling.

Oakland, Boston, the Cubs and maybe even Seattle have better starting pitching than the Yankees given the probablity of injury to Brown and the unpredictability of Lieber's comeback.

Well, we'll see, won't we?

Confession: When I was quite young, I used to play Dukes of Hazzard with these two neighbours of mine, Jake and Will. They never *once* let me be Daisy. I always had to be Uncle Jesse, while they were Bo and Luke. Uncle-fucking-Jesse. They always said "I wish we had a Daisy," "It's too bad we don't have a Daisy" etc. etc. Story of my fuckin life. The next time I'm home around the holidays, I think I'm going to have to kick both of their asses. Bastards.

Why don't you just wear the shorts and see how fast you become Daisy?

In total, the starting staff may have less victories this year BECAUSE of the strengthened bullpen.
Last year, you kept a shaky Wells or Roger in a few extra innings because you didn't want Osuna or Hammond to touch the ball.
Now, Torre/Mel can get our guys out of there before the mandatory 5.

I think the majority of my babysitters when I was younger were probably stoned the whole time.

I think the argument goes the other way. Short term? You're right. Long term? More arm strength overall. Easier to go 6 consistently than to have to go 7 and 8 a bunch of times. Plus, you know Torre wants to give his starters every chance at a win.
Plus, the bullpen will have fewer wins because they won't be blowing the leads the starting staff hands them.

I sense a cause/effect relationship in there somewhere.
