Sorority/Fraternity Life

I tried to watch sorority life this week, but I must have accidentally tuned into some horror movie b/c I all could see was a bunch of young girls running around screaming and screeching and trying to escape from some creepy guys by crawling out of the window of a filthy scary mansion. Like most women in horror flicks, instead of trying to grab real weapons, they tried to fend off the psychopaths with shaving cream. And there was this other woman who I think was the Bride of Frankenstein given her hairstyle, but for some reason the women weren't afraid of her.
Anybody watching MBA? (evenodds, I know you are) Is there any doubt that Billie Jeanne and Tony are kaput tonight? Although, in true Fox tradition, I bet they crap on their loyal viewers and don't even announce tonight who's getting kicked off but make us wait till next week's show.

In less lurid (sorry) reality TV, WTF is it Kia and wallpaper borders? Why is she incapable of designing a single room without relying on them? Every room ends up looking exactly the same. I thought she'd been fired since I hadn't seen her for a while but tragically she has returned.
Doug and Hildy can occasionally do a truly hideous space but at least they take a risk every time.

me: justfourteen, you're fat in real life aren't you? you definitely come across as a girl with fat-girl syndrome.
now go ahead and call me a sexist self-hating woman, justfortyone for saying that you must be fat, while ignoring the sexism implicit in your comment to sebby. i want to be entertained :p
and incidentially, i'm pretty sure that justfourteen isn't patentgreedy. i stand by my assessment that she is the same poster who used to post as erica.

A few months ago, I saw who I thought was Liv Tyler in a clothing shop, and thought to myself, "Gee, she's, uh.... bigger than what I would have expected from seeing her in the movies." When I told my husband, he said that it was probably her sister, who is a "plus-sized" model.
Three things:
1. The sister (if it was indeed the sister whom I saw) looks EXACTLY like Liv Tyler (in the face, anyway.)
2. She is a big girl. I do NOT mean fat -- I mean really big -- she's got to be 5'10" or so, and just big boned. She did not seem fat, but she was no size 0, that's for sure.
3. I just saw some movie on cable over the weekend with Richard Gere and a bunch of women (including Farrah Fawcett -- can't remember the name) and Liv Tyler was in it too (she played Kate Hudson's lesbian girlfriend). I remember thinking Liv looked big in that movie and wondered whether if maybe it had actually been Liv in the store.
Whoever it was, she had a beautiful face -- and flawless skin -- unlike most movie stars I have seen in person.

Thank you! Gawd, she drives me nuts. I like about 50% of what she does in a room. The borders obsession is mind-boggling, as they usually aren't even decent borders (if such exist). That shell room? Horrid! I thought the whole room was just crap, including the colors, the theme and the actual execution.
Though I loved that one of the guys (who was working with Hildi on the gallery room - wtf? they wanted a living room, not a sit and view Hildi's art room) called a spade a spade, or rather, a Ty an idiot and said that Ty was clearly the beauty and not the brains of the show.

yes, Ty gets major points for knocking over and smashing the (ugly, but whatever) focal point of Kia's room then swearing about Kia being a moron (not that she isn't one, but not for that reason). Aside from the sticks she glued on to the thing, wasn't Ty the one who built it?
Plus what gives with the 'art' on this show? If any nit can smush paint randomly on a canvas and convince the homeowner it's MOMA-worthy, why not just kill all the real artists so they dont' have to live to see that?

Here's one of the more flattering pics I saw of Mia Tyler (there were lots of semi-nude ones that showed off all her rolls):

Okay, that was NOT the girl I saw in the store. Unless there's another sister out there, it was Liv Tyler.
She is a big girl. Not fat (no rolls of flabby flesh or anything), but she's really tall, and really big boned.
(No wonder I was so struck by the facial resemblance!)

I doubt Liv Tyler is a size zero. She looks to be about an 8 to me. NTTAWWT. Mia Tyler is a plus-size model, and she is definitely "overweight." I think our society has placed such an emphasis lately on self-esteem that we have lost sight of what an ideal weight truly is. It's neither Skeletor nor Mia.

I googled to see if I could find out vitals. One site stated she is 5'10" and 112. 112 for that frame is scary-thin. I'm doubting it. Judge for yourself.

You need to use my formula.
I'm at my ideal weight right now.
If I lose ten pounds, I will be at my NEW ideal weight.
If I gain ten pounds, I will, once again, be at another, newer ideal weight.
(No worries.)
