No one is really making much sense about this at all. Paul Rodriguez, who said a couple things that made sense, also made some nonsensical comment about not understanding how Richards could do this "on the heels of the Mel Gibson incident." Like they're related? And Richards himself - base, stupid, repulsive; "I"m not a racist; it just spews out of me" - wtf?

Jerry Seinfeld always looks as though he's about to crack up, even supposedly seriously talking about this whole thing. It's a little disarming to me.

Divorced and Loving It?

In Bazaar, they had a feature "divorced and loving it" about socialites/trophy wives that divorced their very wealthy husbands.....

Tory Burch, which was a shocker at first, and Brooke de OCampo which was a total shock to me since they were both featured in lavish magazine spreads touting what a great marriage/family they had....Tiffany Dubin

Most of the Miller sisters of the duty free fortune have divorced except Marie-Chantal of Greece.

Obviously, if they have kids they get a fair share of money. Not so much if it is inherited it is in trusts....

interesting phenomenon, indeed.
I have no idea who any of these people are (aside from J-Lo). However, I do recommend divorce. Also, I am considering becoming a trophy wife. Or marrying one. I haven't narrowed down my options sufficiently yet.

For some reason, I really want to go home and fuck someone on my piano bench. Who started that whole distraction? I am in the mood for a seated spider position so he can even play me a tune during the deposition.

I don't know that she's threatened a lawsuit, but she did say "pain" and "inflicted" and "compensation" three times during the interview. She could be offering to jump off the publicity train for the right price. I don't know how that's going to go. When Matt Lauer asked what legal basis she had, she compared the insults with throwing a rock through a neighbor's window.

I would never wish terminal illness on anyone.

Except her.

May it be long and as painful as possible.

If there's a human being who represents everything wrong with the worst of us, and everything wrong with law as a profession, it's Gloria Allred.

She has no lawsuit. If she did, she'd have already filed a form complaint. There are no damages, or at least not enough to justify her throwing money at the case, even as a "loss leader" or "marketing venture." She's doing this for cheap quick press and nothing else.

I was pleasantly surprised, however, to see the two clients of hers casually say they really didn't care about damages, and just felt pretty offended. She clearly hasn't coached them well enough in how to feign emotional distress. My guess is, unlike their counsel, they're actually just decent, rational people, so they probably didn't "take" to her coaching.

Is Gloria Allred the same woman who used to have blonde frizzy hair around the time of the OJ trial or are there two separate publicity-hound tv-circuit women lawyers? I don't pay much attention to this sort of thing, so I am confused.

No, that's the woman who I think defended the Menendez brothers. She's a real trial lawyer. I think Allred's more of a pure media whore.

No, she is a brunette with short hair in a curlyish bob. not attractive. Susan Estrich is not attractive either. Nancy Grace looks like a bulldog, Greta Sustern looks like she has lock jaw is there any high profile female atty, legal commentator that is "hot"?

Abba: those women are all NY socialites essentially. Tory has her own clothing line.

Did anyone on board comment about the woman that killed herself after being grilled by Nancy Grace?
