I am anti-Rabbit.
Or maybe actually I'm blah about the rabbit, like ncs is about the oral.

NYC
In an effort to drive a stake in the heart of the Deal of Death (and collect my cashout check for passing go), I need to be in NYC next week. If anyone is bored, looking for free drinks and doesn't hate me, shoot me a PM.

I have purchased one as a gift, and will be giving it tomorrow. I will report back with a review.

The NYC Mom Killed by Arizona Pigs
The first flight got her into Ariz early and she had lunch. Sounds to me like she showed up to board the connecting flight, but encountered your usual nasty airline/airport employees who wouldn't let her board her fucking plane even though the plane was still there and that accordian thingey was still attached to it.
Why did they tell her she couldn't board? They probably curtly said "M'am, the boarding time is over" which is circular, not an answer and enough to piss anyone off. Then they probably loved ignoring her as she saw her plane leave which she missed for no fucking reason.
These airport people are petty, surly little motherfuckers. And they are completely and utterly disgusted by us passengers. You can see it in their eyes as they glance up from their frantic typing of whatever. Even if you wait in line and nicely ask them a question, they still give you that look of disgust and robotic answer. If you say "this is bullshit" after the airlines triple booked the same seat, instead of saying "yeah, that's a major error", they'll threaten to call security on you because you are "cursing at" them.
They probably baited this woman in low voices and got her riled up and then were thrilled to call security on some NY-er. I'm hearing the cops (probably all fat) may have killed her by lying on her back while she was cuffed and their "escorting" of her to the cell was basically dragging a near-dead woman there.
Airline employees (or maybe they're union -whatever) suck. And we can't even heckle them badly since they puss out and call the rent a cops.
I hope the Gotbaum family sues the shit out of the whole ugly lot of them.
That is all.

How's the actual phone? I'm thinking about getting one as a gwfgwf gift for myself in January. Since I don't have a land line, my main concern is the quality and consistency of the phone connections. The rest is all gravy. But damn, the iGravy is good.
I've had no problems with Cingular as long as the phone was a Nokia. When I had a Motorola, calls were dropping constantly and never lasted more than 5 minutes. Really fucking annoying.

The I think totally drugged out (though I can never tell these things) assistant person at the place I get my hair cut really liked the Final Destination stuff. And seemed to be saying that it was somehow linked to the TV show Heroes? Whatever. He also gave me the same opinion re: the new Bionic Woman twice, not quite verbatim. Once when he was washing my hair, and once when he was standing in for the stylist and drying a few chunks of hair.
I like my hair so far. If anyone cares. And I know they do. Or you all do.

As usual, I completely disagree with your take on a situation.
But my closest girlfriend happens to be an attorney who is a flight attendant in her spare time, so I'm inclined to think that airline employees don't suck, or at least not as much as the general flying population.
From what I've read, the plane had pushed back from the gate. Nonetheless, every other passenger managed to get aboard on time. What made her so special?
The newspapers reported that she was running around yelling "I'm not a terrorist! I'm not a terrorist!" I think if I encountered such a person in an airport and airport security didn't step in and detain the person, I'd wonder what the fuck was wrong with them.
I have been treated badly by all kinds of people in customer service positions. I have never disturbed the peace in my reaction to them. I'm not saying she deserved to die, but I am saying that her behavior was inappropriate at best, likely criminal, and certainly stupid given the atmosphere in airports these days.

HENRY: PORTRAIT OF A SERIAL KILLER (Are there torture scenes in here? Is it too fucked up to watch?)
THE HITCHER
LOST HIGHWAY

I had to watch Henry for a class in college and I love horror movies but found it too fucked up to watch. But not because of any torture scenes (can't remember if there are any) but bc there is a scene where a mother is raped in front of her husband and son. I can't watch any movies or shows with rape scenes and scenes like that especially sicken me. I tore my professor a new one when I wrote that paper for not warning us about how graphic the movie was (I got a B+ on the paper --fucker)

I'm a fan of hyperbole and there probably aren't too many eyes more jaundiced than mine and I still don't see these wild facts in the coverage I've read.
But you're right about the general aesthetic merits of rental cops.

You have no cite for where your cited screed came from, but I found this - http://www.nytimes.com/2007/10/05/ny...um.html?ref=us . I am no defender of police and their tactics, but this occurrence does not scream death by brutality. Rather, death by crazy, drugs, and their biological interaction.
