I don't think gender-neutral names are a problem. I've gotten the gender wrong once or twice over the phone ("May I speak with Ms. X?") and, after a blushing apology on my part, was graciously forgiven--inevitably, the person was used to it (as opposed to, say, scarred for life already, or this was the straw that broke the camel's back that sent 'em hunting for a pack of ammo).

Girls names: My parents got a little creative with mine. Of course, it would be "normal" if I were Canadian, male and involved with professional hockey! In the States it is a girl's name but I grew up in a border region and yes I took some shit for having a "boy's" name. Oh yeah, apparently nobody else in the fucking world (boy or girl) spells it the way mine is spelled. Here's looking at ya, mom and dad -- you fucking morons.

Either that or they'll kill everyone they see in a flurry of bullets.

I absolutely believe that conflict builds character, and most of my personality has been molded by my grade school experiences. I don't take shit from bullies, and try and defend those who are getting ganged up on. You fight for what is yours, and for what it right. All lessons learned on the playground, as strange of a concept that is. I can't believe how much of that trival crap affected my character and personality.
And my kids, and your kids and most everyone's kids will also have to go through it and learn in their own way, growing up can be tough. My point is this, if I can give my kid one thing less to worry about, why wouldn't I do it? Why pour it on? To build extra character? To see if he/she can hack it? This is my kid, don't I wan't to protect them as much as I can?
And though you were halfway kidding, I bet that most of the serial killers and whatnot were probably picked on at school and are forever trying to make others pay for that.
Anyway, just something to consider.

I would have rated her about a 7.5 in the 1-10 world of porn stars, so maybe she is destined to be mostly forgotten.

That's about what I thought. I admit that your link jogged my memory, and its a safer bet than not that I have seen her work, I can't recall any of it.
On my other hand, as opposed to yours, nttawwt, '92-'93 may have been my lean years for porn, no pun intended, and maybe I just missed her roll in the hay day.
Notwithstanding all of that, while I should know the answer to this question, I am embarassed to admit, I don't, are the XRCO awards more or less prestigious than the AVN awards?

You can't call dibs on any names until the ink on the birth certificate is wet. This isn't North Korea!

I've only been to the one in College Station, and it was quite tasty. The friend that escroted me there said that it's been saving her life since she moved there. Good restaurants, apparently, are not that abundant in College Station.
There's one that I know of here in Houston, but I haven't been there yet. I'll be headed there, but generally I'll end up in the nearby Taquaria Tapatia instead.

Freebirds is great, but I prefer Chango's.
Do they have those outside of Austin?

Four. Two male, two female. No more. And if she has more tell her choose. Personally I think claiming names is a bit moronic, but whatever. The names I thought were good when I was younger and talked about what I would name my kids were very different from the names I like now. You can't really decide these things until it is actually time to do so, unless you are from a family who names kids after other family members. Jewish folks aren't supposed to do that so the most I would think about is what initial I want to use to honor whatever family member, if I am so inclined.
Every kid has something someone is going to pick on them for. Parents want to protect their kids, but sometimes they take it too far. It's a tough world, let the kid learn to deal with it.
My parents spent so much time worrying about the pain I would have to deal with in my life, they never stopped to see they were the ones causing it.

I saw on their website that they are about to add a second Austin location. The Dallas one just opened and it is going to be a regular spot for me... I love the vegetable options. And the hot tomatillo sauce.
Hmm... That might just be my dinner tonight...
