The neighbor's dog (Cocoa) they are pretty sure got mauled by a Cougar or one really big bobcat. My neighbor is convinced that all the Deer around are attracting the Cougars so he is investigating ways to keep them out of his yard. However, his dog roams free around the neighborhood (and is not the sharpest chocolate lab on the planet), so I don't see it as doing much good (for the dog anyway). I don't own a dog, but I am thinking about getting one just so he can let me now when a large Cat is around thinking I might be his or her next meal. I think it might be time to move out of the hills and into the city.

That's amazing -- they write their own contracts?
Just last week, they were threatening to go on strike because of the contract they were offered.
So, you're saying that they go out on strike because they don't like the contract that they themselves wrote?

Nice. You're planning on getting a dog so it can be your canary-in-the-coalmine. I foresee a long, happy relationship between you and your dog.
Why not just stop leaving the food out for the deer and be done with it?

TAke it to the FB, and provide a translation. Are you saying Paigow is stalking your neighbor?

Actually it is all the money they throw around at election time. Also, anyone they endorse can say their opponent is "anti-teacher" and therefore, anti-education.

Threatening to go on strike=tactic of a person/group of people who are not "professionals". What a joke. Summary execution is too good for these people for the damage that they have done to generations of our nation's youth. The 8th amendment should be repealed so that we can craft an apppropriate punishment for them and their comrades in the islamofacist enemy combatant movement.

Yes, and the electorate, stupidfied by the public education that they received from the teachers union controlled schools, laps that pitch up faster than Slave doing whipcream shots off a stripper.

If Spanky weren't so much of a Pussy Magnet there wouldn't be a problem. Perhaps they'd pay Spanky to Move?

Does that make them just as powerful as business? 'Cause business can throw around money at election time, and endorse people who can then call their opponents "anti-business."
Come to think of it, I'll bet business has more money to throw around.

So if you were a transactional lawyer thinking about switching over to a business model where you got a cut of the deal instead an hourly fee, you'd make sure to tell your clients that you'd do their deal even if they don't want to pay you your cut, being a professional and all?

You should just stop by an animal shelter and pick up three or four dogs, let them out in the back yard, and feed them occassionally. They'll like you because you feed them, but since they're still hungry, they'll pack up and chase the wild things away.
And, if anything unpleasant becomes of them, at least you saved them from the shelter's needle and gave them a little more time.
