Pat Robertson is praying for change on the Supreme Court (excerpt from cnn.com) --

Robertson has launched a 21-day "prayer offensive" directed at the Supreme Court in the wake of its 6-3 June vote that decriminalized sodomy. Robertson said in a letter on the CBN Web site that the ruling "has opened the door to homosexual marriage, bigamy, legalized prostitution and even incest."

The same letter targets three justices in particular: "One justice is 83-years-old, another has cancer and another has a heart condition. Would it not be possible for God to put it in the minds of these three judges that the time has come to retire?"

On the bright side, he didn't actually go so far as to tell his followers to go kill one of them. What an exercise of restraint.

n(praying that when the time comes Bush pulls another Souter out of the hat)cs
So if they don't change the ruling, does that mean god believes that the decision was correct? Isn't that risky for them?

Duh, that just means that America doesn't have enough true Christians praying hard enough, and that until they can convert everyone to their way of thinking, Robertson's followers are being punished by God by having the 'sodomy is OK' ruling out there. As soon as they pray (prey?) hard enough, God will get someone righteouser on the Court and all will be well again.

It could mean, there is no god but Allah. Boy, would Robertson pee his pants THEN.

Concur. It sounds like this guy parties a bit heartier than most JWs I've met. Of course, we'll need some new acronyms, like ROTFSIT (rolling on the floor speaking in tongues). And Watchtower will have to miss out on the traditional visit to the ER for a transfusion after Sunday brunch in Slave's kitchen. NTTAWWT.

Are you implying that Robertson hates all people who believe in Allah? Just because he's a fundamentalist Christian? How PC of you.

To each em's own, I guess.

No, I'm picturing Robertson dying and going to heaven and seeing Allah sitting there. Smiling.

Just . . . smiling.

I like this quote - it was kind of like life at my old job. But you really should have made them all go to the Texas Board so it would get lots of hits for which I would take credit.

I signed up and named the members of the FB as my designated organ recipients.

Who wants my TITS???
So, is Plated like suing these guys for infringement or what?

perhaps you remember when one of pat robertson's fellow religion for profit snake oil salesmen oral roberts said that if i do not raise $11,000,000 (or whatever the figure was) by a certain date that God would call him home?

so we are talking about a group of people who do not think their actions through very clearly here. but i guess that getting millions of dollars from elderly people who have nothing better to do with their time than watch televanglists or electing republicans is way more important that bringing christianity and God into disrepute.

You are clearly wishing bad things on a person solely because of his religion. And implying that people with those beliefs are big Depends buyers.

Nice.

personally, i think that pat robertson would be more upset if he got to heaven and found out that God is a democrat.

I'm actually more upset that Pat is slacking on the job...

A hurricane just came ashore today and he didn't divert it with the power of his mind and with prayer like he said he did before during his Presidential run. Nice going, Pat. Dick.
