When Kirk and Luanne van Houten split up on the Simpsons, he moved into a singles residence and slept in a racing car bed.

He was so wealthy that what would otherwise be freaky was merely eccentric.
(Which reminds me of the following: "If you win twenty in the show, you can let the fungus grow back and the press'll think you're colorful. Until you win twenty in the show, however, it means you are a slob.")

I'm willing to be corrected but I recall that in the first episode when Ricky comes to live with his dad, he's shown his new Wonderland residence complete with red racecar bed, but then Edward thinks it's cool to and he gets one, establishing the "child and man-child" conflict that drove the premise. And then Grandpa Stratton told Jason Bateman to call his mother and tell her he would never be a lawyer and Alfonso Ribera snapped his neck while breakin' on top of a fiery can of Pepsi. The End.
My memory is known to be imperfect so YMMV.

I have to confess that Silver Spoons was not something I regularly watched, although your call out of Erin Gray reminds me why I bothered not to surf right on by. I much preferred my comedy on shows such as charles in charge, with Nicole Eggert in her pre-Baywatch days.

I would have thought that Buck Rogers would have been the preferred Erin Gray show, given the spandex. It didn't have as long of a run as Silver Spoons, but it certainly had more skin.
(Confession: when I was 11, I *hearted* Ricky Shroeder. Not as much as I *hearted* John Schneider, but a lot.)

I was more of a Tom Wopat/Ricky Schneider girl. I like the dark hair.

You have a good point, but this started with Atticus and his Catholic/Mother/Virgin-Whore hangups.

How would I know how to use iTunes on a PC?
When you say "not recognizing them" you mean that it's not downloading track info from cddb? I think there's a way to change the database it queries for track info. If not, type it in yourself.

iPhone: If you need enterprise push e-mail, and you probably do, it's worse than useless. If you don't, I recommend.
Garmin nuvi 660: If you have a car with GPS, and you probably do, it's worse than useless. If you don't, I recommend.
Nikon D80: If you want a camera that fits in your pocket, and you probably do, it's worse than useless. If you don't, I recommend. (Although I now acknowledge the D40 would have been more than adequate for my needs.)
Saving pennies for: Nikkor AF-S DX VR 18-200mm f/3.5-5.6G IF-ED.

Can you choose import and then select the disk? Does the computer even recognize that a CD is in the slot?

I am looking at the D40 and Canon Rebel XTi. Any recommendations? I have non-digital SLR experience, but I haven't used an SLR camera in 10 years.

The D80 will give you more megapixels, about 10 v. 8 for the models you named. Also, the D80 will gove you the opportunity for more tweaking to adjust exposure and shutter speed, if you decide to get more creative. The two are close enough in price that, unless you're hunting around for a great bargain on the D40, I'd pay the small increment for the D80.

The D80 is $1100 at Circuit City, while the D40 is $500. I don't think they're close in price at all.
