Weren't they wearing a C on their cap a few years ago, or was that one of the alternate caps used to drive up hat sales?

Seems like all these teams with arguably racist names/logos could do themselves a service by at least quietly removing aspects of it (and thus avoid "capitulating" to protesters).

ETA: No, apparently an I

EFTA: What the fuck is this?

I love the Star Wars one.
It looked like about half those people did NOT regret their tattoos. Hmmmm. Misleading headlines.

not to be a timmy, but the headline is fine. the tats are all regrettable. I think you assume the headline was "regretted" tats, because, as you point out, many of these regrettable tats are not actually regretted.

In what universe is that not being a timmy?

My advice? Never date a woman with a dragon tattoo.

My high school got rid of the Johnny Reb mascot, but kept the name Rebels (which was ridiculous name for the exclusive private school that was a feed directly to the Ivys, but that's another story) for about a decade before finally changing entirely to the Mavericks.

I went to the Big Game last year (against the other Ivy feeder school, tailgating at Rice Stadium before that game usually features brie and chardonnay out of the back of an X5 or a fully loaded Suburban), and it was very odd to cheer for the Mavericks.

Kids didn't seem to care, though, and we won, so I guess that's the only important part.

What's your advice on dating a man with a giant Star Wars poster permanently emblazoned on his back (from neck to waist, left ribs to right ribs)?

Full speed ahead, no?

If not him, what is the wisdom on dating a guy with a full-back tattoo depicting George W. Bush as a vampire (feasting on the jugular of the Statue of Liberty)?

That's class, baby!

uh... Rice is not an Ivy.

I'm just sayin'.

Though it does have an Ivy guy as its current president.

Mavericks is less ridiculous (in the context) than Rebels? Does it have another meaning?

Maybe y'all are motherless/unbranded animals? Is the new name all about not getting tattoos or brands?

1: an unbranded range animal; especially : a motherless calf
2: an independent individual who does not go along with a group or party

What Ivy is in Houston, or even TX, or even a state or country adjacent to TX, where they could play their high school football game?

More rEdiculous still is the use of "Rebels" by the Walpole (Mass.) high school team. I think they even have the confederate battle flag on their helmets, or did until recently. Up South, indeed.

BTW, I take RT's comment to describe two high schools in texas that feed ivy league colleges, who played their high school football game at Rice stadium. Is that too complex?

ETA: Looks like they've gone to crossed swords. Maybe the University of Mississippi sued them for copyright infringement recently.

The only other dating advice I can offer today, is never get a lapdog for a pet.

Maybe Cornell? Cornell sounds like it might be in Texas, or possibly Oklahoma.

Well, Cornell is said to be the Texas A&M of the North.
