Oh it does NOT have to be one or the other. Flirting is sometimes just that you are in a really really good mood, and/or are in a mood to flatter someone else and/or yourself. Or you are just expressing that you feel pretty. Pretty like this guy:

Sorry. I thought my last post made it clear that I was talking about the male point of view (in most instances).
Flattery is not synonymous with flirting, though. Sometimes they overlap, but they are different.

I think New Jersey has already made this change. The answer is to move to California.

I was hoping that the issue wouldn't come before the Supreme Court since the 5th Circuit already ruled in my favor on the issue.

How's about not letting your kids open the door for strangers?
Even better, don't tell them what the corkscrew on their swiss army knives are for.

Why not? They're all armed to the teeth.
Hell, they could knock over a liquor store if they wanted some Boone's Farm.

Okay. But....I have seen pretty hot guys flirting with women who are...um....not attractive, as in real fat and unless the situation is something like this old joke goes, then I'm confused as to what to call it. Is it flirting when the woman is really desired by the guy, and flattery when the guy secretly doesn't want to bed the woman?
P.S. Does ANYTHING shock you anymore, TM? `Cause if that flat, white, gay little ass I gave you a second ago (!!!) didn't do anything for ya, you are such a lost cause.

I'm more concerned about mail-order porn as I don't want to move to the Valley. That, and my local smut peddler has a lousy selection.

2. My ex-boyfriend lives in the Valley, and it was hard enough to get the lesbian porn via mail order.

The restrictions on mail-order booze are based upon whichever amendment repealed Prohibition -- the language of it gives the states lots of leeway when it comes to regulating John Barleycorn, so (in theory) Spartacus Productions shouldn't fret too much if the Court lets the states ban booze shipments.
And maybe the new AG will be less interested in going after the peddlers of smut than Ashcroft was.

As an aside, HBO's current documentary* "Pornucopia" tells us that 90% of the porn produced in the US is filmed in the Valley.
It also tells us that there are about 10% of the total is comprised of about 100 categories of fetish porn, and started to give us a run-through of prominent examples. I managed to watch several minutes of that until I saw some guy (Hank?**) in a sheep's mask staring at the screen and saying "Baaaaaa." Sure, I suppose I can watch with some mild interest for some of this, but sheep porn?
* Like their "Sex" series, this is intended to further blur the lines between cable's soft-core, and harder stuff.
** Sure, the guy wasn't wearing a suit, and the mask did cause issues, so the resemblance to the avatar was a bit of a reach. Still, I think we'd know those beady eyes anywhere.

So, yeah, I'd like them to find a way to let me keep ordering my wines on the internet, but there are some fixes that need to be found. I think they've shown a rational basis for concern.

On information and belief, UPS and FedEx and the like are supposed to have procedures to prevent this sort of thing. The case now in front of the Supreme Court, however, is about those states that have, in their munificent wisdom, decided that it's OK for Minnesota wineries to ship wine to your kids, but not OK for wineries in other states to do the same. This doesn't seem rational to me, but maybe you have a jones for Minnesota wines.

How does this even happen? When the stupid UPS guy brings wine to the house (and we're NEVER HOME during UPS hours) they make us drive to the fucking UPS store which isn't open on Saturdays and they don't open until 10:00am(!) because prominently plastered on the box is "Must be 21 to sign for package, do not leave without signature" ?????
