Texas Governor is largely a ceremonial position. not a lot of power. I don't think anyone cared one way or another. A US Senator is a much more important position.

"Senator, if the voters of NY send you back to the Senate, will you pledge to serve a full term?"
Mr. Pensky, please sit down and behave. You are on the verge of flunking this course.

When you begin behaving like a gentleman we will treat you like a gentlemen. Until that time, just hold your questions.

The left has no answer to the question. This is her achilles heel. She wants to be able to take the high road but she knows that the usual Clinton route of lies and cheating is blocked. We are watching. Waiting. She may have misplayed her hand here. The RedChinese will be furious.

I suspect that Karla Faye Tucker disagrees that the Texas Governor is a ceremonial position.

Mr. Pensky,

Have you ever wooed a Serbian model? Can you tell us what women think?

I believe something is in the water.

Gee, I wonder. Why don't you give Jerry Lynn Dean or Deborah Thornton a call and ask them if your suspicions are correct. Interesting that the left uses an admitted cold blooded killer as some sort of jab at Bush. The complete loss of any moral compass by the liberals of this country is why you are shut of all 3 branches of federal government and a majority of the governors' offices.

Just to refresh the Board's memory, here is the righteous soul whose opinion you purport to be citing:

Between 2:30 and 4:30 a.m. on June 13, 1983, Tucker, Danny Garrett, and James Leibrant left Tucker's residence after some "partying." Tucker told accomplice Leibrant she wanted to go over to Jerry Lynn Dean's apartment to collect some money and intimidate him a little. Tucker secretly took the keys from Dean's wife, Shawn. Two weeks before, Tucker had talked about "offing" Dean. Tucker later related that when she and Garrett entered the apartment bedroom, she put a pickax to Dean's head and Dean began begging for his life. Tucker struck him with the pickax 28 times, and expressed that every time she struck Dean she received sexual gratification. Deborah Thornton was hiding under some sheets in the bedroom, and because the lights were on and Dean had said Tucker's name several times, Tucker and Garrett decided to kill her as well. Leibrant testified that, after he was called into the apartment by Garrett, he heard a gurgling noise in the bedroom, walked back to the bedroom, and witnessed Tucker pull the pickax out of a body, smile, and hit it again. Leibrant then left the scene, but later helped Garrett dispose of Dean's car later that evening. The bodies were discovered by a co-worker who came to check up on Dean when he did not show up for work that morning. The pickax was found lodged in the chest of Deborah Thornton.

We know Hillary had 32 peole killed who might reveal something that might cost Bill an election. Don't you think its graveyard time for anyone who actually leads her in polls? Serious political q. Do you really think Hillary will let it go to election day?

Nice try. My point was that the only guy in the state who has the authority to sign warrants scheduling executions can hardly be considered to be in a ceremonial position.

Bill Clinton was the last person that was able to lie about that.

Pete Wilson tried to use the same lie (promised to not run for president and then he did) and it blew up in his face.

So W. did not lie. He simply said he was not sure.

I think Hillary will use the same think. She will say that she is not sure but she might and I don't think the voters will hold that against her.

The Texas Governor's office didn't make the law she was arrested and convicted under. It didn't promulgate the sentencing guidelines. It didn't sentence her. The legislative and judicial branches did. He just presided over the ceremony of carrying out the judicial branches order.

By the way, you do realize that Texas did not have a sentence of life without parole when Ms. Tucker was convicted. If Tucker's sentence was reduced to life she would have been eligible for parole in 2003. Of course the liberals would never accept responsibility for the subsequent murders she would have committed in their name.

I think W has a message for Karla and all of the liberals who are soft are crime and seek to undermine our society by supporting those who would destroy it.
