Favre has been pretty mediocre for about three years, but nobody dares say it. He's very good/great in about 1/3 of his games (remember the shoot-out with Indy this year, the week 16 win over Minnesota), very average in about 1/3, and notably below average 1/3 of the time. The past two seasons he's really shown a propensity to make dumb-ass throws where he's totally putting it up in the air for a 50-50 ball, or even with the defenders having the far better claim. He NEVER used to do this. Brady and Manning never do this. Bulger never does this. Even Donovan and Vick rarely do this.
