I did not assume anything. I asked. I guess if you are local, you can drop panties off in person rather than mailing them? Fantastic. Let's see what you come up with before we do pork.

I've only been to Pesce once. Thought the food was good, but the place is tiny (as are the tables and chairs) and the menu overpriced.
If you're on a date and the other person is buying, you will enjoy it. You won't enjoy a larger group sharing the bill.

Folks, I need a restaurant rec. Someplace delicious yet on the casual side. Like a Johnnys Half Shell or Andale. I want to try something new, not too schwanky, but not Austin Grill or laminated menus either. And it must be in NW DC.
Thanks!
|
Have you tried 2 Amy's for pizza. It's up by cactus cantina in Tenley, which may not be in your version of NW DC. It's not pizza paradiso good, but it's still pretty good.

It's a toss up whether the fact that I have no life or the fact that it's taken you all these years to realize it is more pathetic.

Don't have any pool recs, but you might call up a couple places and ask if they allow a free trial day or whatever. Most health clubs do; I can't see why pools wouldn't, if they're trying to sell you on the place. You'd need about 5 minutes to figure out if it's your kind of place.

Thanks for the suggestion. Apparently all the lawyers in this town don't need swimming pools to work on their tan bc they are strolling the streets topless.

Actual (almost interesting) news
Hate to interrupt this love fest, but I've found some actual news.
DSMO is taking over IMF's space at International Square, to the tune of 400,000 sq.f. In order to give themsleves room to grow over the next 15 years.

Metro raises fares
As predicted, a dime increase on the base fare: Washington Post
As a selfish rider, I'd rather not see fares go up, but 7 years between increases makes this seem far more reasonable than increasing stamp prices.

9% increase for D.C. residents doesn't seem unreasonable. But...
<<The maximum peak Metrorail fare will increase from $3.25 to $3.60. Daily parking fees will increase by 75 cents to $3, with monthly parking fees rising from $45 to $65 and reserved monthly parking rates rising from $65 to $95.>>
10.8% increase for VA and MD residents (rail)
33.3% - 46.2% increase for VA and MD residents (parking)
Bastards.
