(Edited to say: pssst, hey everyone, I snuck into their locker room and scrawled on the wall. Go look at the NY Board.)
 | Careful - we don't want to wake them up. Let's keep them bumbling and stumbling quietly. On second thought do they have a mascot that we could steal and later return with a shaved head?

 | Welcome. Pull up a seat. No, not there in the bullpen, we've had problems. Let me give you a nice seat in the bleachers. Have fun!

I will confess that I like the fact you quote Nettles as a Yankee great. (He'd qualify as a Mets great, I'll give you that.) And I like the fact that you've got a quote there with a lifetime sub .250 hitter with 390 homers in over 20 years criticizing an over .300 hitter with 310 homers in 10 years. Nettles was a really scrappy fellow, and one of the Yankees who I remember as being fun to watch when I was young, but he's just not quite at the same level.

 | Now, if this type of behavior didn't originate with Reggie, you might have a better point. |

BTW, who is our Mod? We need to use the Cowboy Up thing as our motto on the board just to annoy everyone.

 | There is none. You and Anne Elk seem like the likeliest candidates. Slave is definitely out. |

 | I'll grant you batting average, but everyone has jacked home run totals these days, so that number is meaningless. Nettles was a phenomenal fielder. Ramirez sucks. And Ramirez is a pussy. Ask Bill Lee if Nettles was a pussy. |

And by the way, Ms. Elk, every time I see your name I can't help but think of the great Annie Oakley.

 Any relation?

 | Are you a closet Mets fan?
Anyone else old enough to remember the 69 and/or 73 Mets?

Drat, drat and double drat. Why do we always have to lose to the Yankees? It wouldn't be as painful or depressing if it was another team. Hopefully the offense will wake up tonight. Even if they lose the series, I'd like to see them produce runs in bunches the way they did through out the season.

Watching the GP Sox fan and the GP Yankees fan banter in the hall has been entertaining this week.

Anne
Following the game on gamecast once again tonight. Damn these big projects!

 | Annie Oakley was in a Python skit?? I missed that episode. Yet another reason to buy the DVD series.

I'm probably too boring and un-stylish for Mod status.

 | The 69 and 73 Mets pretty much were my childhood. Sad but true.
