Life's Theme Song

I was an 18 year old freshman in college. Classes were just beginning, lifelong bonds were being formed, the leaves were starting to turn, and on top 40 radio stations throughout the US and UK, Bryan Adams could be heard singing my life's theme song, "Everything I Do, I Do It For You."

Oooh, my little pretty one, my pretty one, when you gonna give me some time, Sharona?

In related news, Rick Springfield is returning to General Hospital as Dr. Noah Drake this week. No word on whether he will resume fucking Bobbie.

Off the top of my head, I can name 4 songs off of "Get the Knack."

Out-pathetic that!

The lead singer's brother was almost my Govenor. That would have been pathetic.

I loved that album. Hmm, let's see.

Good Girls Don't
She's So Selfish
My Sharona
Baby Talks Dirty

eta: Baby Talks Dirty was from their second album. And I can't believe I forgot Frustrated (insert snarky but painfully true remark here). You win, Ollie.

Sing it sister. On the one hand, I wish this would last forever. On the other, I'm going to lose my job if I spend another conference call thinking about cock instead of whether the D Notes are debt or equity.

I knew I could count on Not Bob. Good Girls Don't and My Sharona are easy ones. But we had different ones for the other two; I'd forgotten yours (and still can't quite place Baby Talks Dirty).

I was thinking of :

Heartbeat (cover of a Buddy Holly tune); and
That's What the Little Girls Do

Joan Jett redid it in the 80s, so you're not alone there.
