Great criticism. I guess he shouldn't campaign. The only way you would be happy is if some inexperienced but connected republican half-wit ran on name recognition for the Democratic nomination. Now go get your fuckin' kayak.

TM
It would be inordinately better than the inexperienced but connected democrat half-wit you guys threw up there to derail Dean.

Far as I can tell, Bush is still showing up at the office. Signed some shit just the other day, I hear.

I don't know you that well. For this first trip, let's just use the cuddlin' kayak. It's got those separate bucket seats.

Fuck, Ty, when are dems going to STOP saying stuff like this?
You drink the Kool-Ade at NRO and then come here and forget that you're not talking to the other zombies. WTF are you talking about? I'm not going to defend the outrageous things said (e.g., about Halliburton) by your compeers on the left, like Michael Moore. I come here expecting more intelligent conversation than on most sites because law school gives most people -- though not all, apparently -- the skills to listen to others and pay attention specifically to what they say. You, OTOH, come here and respond to anyone on the left -- Wonk, me, whomever -- as if we're all saying the same thing. We just went through this, but there you go again.

There're a millions of Democrats, and many of them are certifiably crazy. If you want to have a conversation with me, I'm over here, but don't bring that bullshit.

The real problem is that he was misinformed -- uninformed, really -- and relied on his faulty memory and didn't bother to check. That sort of sloppy arrogance seems to be par for the course with Cheney, who has a real problem with the truth.
I should have known.

Damn you Slave!!!! Daaaaamn you!

Naw. No good. Cheney then looks at him blandly over his glasses, and says "damn, that was you? I thought I was talking to an intern." Makes the same point. Maybe better.

Whenver Kerry says crap about a "global test", you want us to ignore the implications and look to the actual words he says.

Just trying to keep track here.
You and I both know that Cheney strung those two sentences together -- the one about presiding over the Senate and the one about being up at the Senate most Tuesdays -- to give people the impression that in his official role, he hadn't met Edwards. He was misleading people. I'm not saying I inferred. I'm not saying that there was an implication. I'm saying Cheney was implying it.

And the problem with your "implication" about the "global test" is that Kerry explicitly rejected the "implication" -- inference, really -- that you guys want to draw. Not that it'll stop you. Jon Stewart has my proxy on this one.

Wheeeeew, did I just fucking read that right? The LAST thing you want to be caught doing - and this election is a prime example of it - is LISTENING to the other party. When you're doing that, you're going to find yourself going off message, and off message is death. Try engaging the other side during your next oral argument and see where that gets you. Say it. wait for reply. Say it again differently. Wait for rebuttal. Rebut point qujckly and say it again louder the same way you first said it. Repeat as necessary.

Interrupt the mudslinging to sling mud at Delay

http://www.dailykos.com/story/2004/10/6/122410/329

Kos is reporting that Judicial Watch, the bastion of liberal thought, is calling for DeLay to step down as Majority Leader. They're not even looking at the stuff that's going on down here in Texas.

ET to explain that they're looking at the "kind" ethics admonition from a week ago.

How long until DeLay goes down?

No, I said that if a Democrat said what Cheney said -- those words, not 'in a similar fashion' -- you'd go apeshit. I was sticking to the Cheney thing, not making a new and silly claim that Democrats never lie.

As we all know now, you are quite capable of identifying Democratic lies and ranting as if all of us on the other side of the metaphorical aisle actually mouthed them.

Yup, and every time he hit one of those lines the approval meter took a dive. Bilmore, this is why Cheney lost it!

BTW, latest polls show 2 point Kerry lead in Florida, 7 in Pennsylvania, 3 in New Mexico, and 1 pointers in Iowa and Ohio. As the post-debate polls continue to come in, it's clear where the momentum is. As always, polls are FWIW, but given the direction everything is going in, your guy needs to cut the snide sniping and actually make a case for another term. If he keeps sniping and fails to make a case, he loses.

Interesting response. Maybe I wasn't listening closely enough to the many campaign promises the last time around. But, I don't recall him or Bush ever saying they would like to reach across the movie aisle to work together with Moore. But don't let that get in the way of your string of posting brilliance.
