I guess technically, the ones I have seen are not documentaries as much as investigative news pieces. One was done by Diane Sawyer. ABC followed one girl, her stage name is Belladonna, around for two years and they did several interviews of other current and ex-porn stars. Those women were the more well known stars, not the anonymous eastern block girl.

I cannot remember where I saw the other news piece, but I think it may have been A&E. That one included this ex-porn star who now runs a social service program for current and ex-adult entertainment workers. They provide help with drug addiction and STD testing and refer for mental health services.

I just did a quick google search for pornography and documentary and found two documentaries.

One is a British documentary called HardCore that follows this 25 year old (Felicity) around as she travels from the UK to the US to enter the porn industry. Max Hardcore is in that one. I haven't seen it, just read the reviews online. It sounds very similar to the investigative news pieces.

Then there is another one called Rated X that you can read about here:

http://www.pornjourney.com/synopsis.html

But even those news pieces and documentaries only show you the more mainstream hardcore industry. I have never seen one that shows what some of these eastern european hardcore porn shops are like. I have only read articles about them after a woman has been able to escape the life or turns up dead. Given that some of the women reportedly are underage or held against their will, I doubt a filmmaker can get access to film that segment of the industry. Czechoslovakia is supposed to be the worst for that in Europe.

No offense, but you got to stay away from the "true life" porn star stories. We don't want to hear this sort of thing. It's like posting a documentary about the pig that provides the bacon I'll eat tomoorow morning; for both i prefer to stay oblivious, or with my own images, thank you.

Debasing Marriage

Maybe we can solve this by defining both marriage and civil unions as "affectional community"* or some shit like that, and using only that term in state law.
The solution is to eliminate the term "marriage" as a legal concept, refer to the legal relationship formerly known as marriage as something else, like "civil union", and allow the legal relationship to apply to both hetero and homo sexual relationships.

Relegate the term "marriage" to a cultural and religious term, but not a legal one. Let the public sort out how it wishes to use the term. Let religious organizations sort out what they accept and what they don't.

Exactly.

You know, even that one Vivid girl, Janine (she is the one in the private sex video with Vince Neil that was "leaked" to the press) has openly expressed her depression about the industry. She is in the process of getting tatoos all over her body and once on the Howard stern show he asked her why she was doing that. She responded that maybe she was doing it so that no one would want to use her in the films anymore and she could stop.

And she only does girl-on-girl films as she wants to save sex with a male for her personal life so she isn't even in the hardcore films.

But of how many people? Just 2? And if just 2, why? And if it is because polygamy is abusive towards women, what if one woman wanted to marry 2 men? Not only would that not be abusive to the woman, both men could go out and work and there would be 2 incomes to provide for the children.

If we are going to allow gay marriage, because polygamy is legally indistinguishable from gay marriage, the only solution is for the government to get out of the marriage business all together.

Just let people do by contract whatever they want to with each other. And eliminate government and employer benefits for spouses. Now that you cannot justify special benefits for married people because of the social good of procreation, then how is that fair that single people get discriminated by not getting the special treatment and benefits the married people get? Explain that one to me.

Sure a single person could get married to get the benefits, but a gay person can marry a member of the opposite sex and get the benefits, too. The gays just say that they won't be fulfilled if they do. Well some people feel they won't be fulfilled if they have to marry to get special benefits.

I recall a prof in law school saying that the health reasons against incest, such as an increased probability of genetic defects, etc. were proven false. I have no cite for this and moreover have no knowledge as to whether this prof was married to his sister or not.

I don't think anyone can deny the psychological reasons for the prohibition. Talk about a tough time on the playground for their child..."Your mom/aunt is a fat..."
