Interesting.
You're a jackass.

First of all, I saw the video tape of Pedro. You saw it too. If you want to defend Pedro, you're a moron and I shouldn't be wasting time arguing with you.

Second of all, I just said I believe both parties were equally at fault in the fight in the bullpen. Since I didn't see the videotape of what happened (and you didn't either), I will give both parties the benefit of the doubt. But a pair of Boston cops who clearly were watching the game instead of watching what happened aren't exactly the best witnesses for the defense. If they were watching the argument between Nelson and the groundskeeper, they should have done their fucking job and removed the groundskeeper from the bullpen or at least intervened before it escalated.

And you say "police witnesses" like I should put more faith in what they have to say than non-police witnesses (Boston or not), which I don't.

Wrong.

The right decision would have been to step 4 inches to his left. Zimmer, who has had both knees replaced would have fallen on his face by himself. "If he does nothing, he gets his ass kicked by a 72 yr old man." If you actually believe this, you're crazier than Clemens.

And Harold Reynolds had it right in his analysis. Pedro hurt his team in more ways than giving up those runs. If you plunk a Yankee with Clemens on the mound, you automatically put every batter on the defensive. No one is aggressive because they know Clemens has more than one screw loose and can't wait to ring someone's bell. That's why Manny overreacted. He was looking to get hit and couldn't concentrate on the at bat. He was flinching at pitches on the outside part of the plate.

A classic post.

Did I say anything to defend Pedro? No, you attacked the man, I pointed out the inconsistencies in your attack if simultaneously defending the bullpen bullies. What I talked about was the incident in the bullpen. Man, the cleat marks mean he was on the ground getting stomped, and there were several of them and one of him, but you want Pedro to step aside? Your guys handled it like bullies.

But what I really love is the notion that you shouldn't argue with me if I disagree with you. OK, then, you want to argue about something we agree on? Time to argue about Clemens being insane or Zimmer being addled?

Like I said, a classic.

Edited to clarify the second sentence.

The cleat marks in the groundskeeper's back, if they exist as claimed, probably provide some decent evidence.

Unless he was getting trampled by three different baseball players the three previous days.

You've had two days to think about the perfect reaction. Pedro had a few seconds. In that amount of time, he made the right decision.

He doesn't get his "assed kicked", but he let's an old geezer throw a few punches at him while leaving his hands at his sides. No professional athlete would let this happen. Maybe your average lawyer would, but a real man would not.

I don't understand why Pedro wasn't ejected after pointing at the Yankees dugout and then pointing to his head while mouthing words to the effect, "I'm gonna hit you in the head!" Did the umps not see that? If you eject him there, do you avoid the later problems?

nothing to ass

I think mostly everyone on the board would agree that I'm mainly correct when I say that baseball is much more entertaining when it's more like hockey.

(and count me in for a year-round champagne or faux-champagne drinker. But not the cheap stuff. unless it's free)

You've got a monster-headed old goon headed at your pitching arm like a fat missile, and you're not going to shove him off? Please. Zimmer knew he was an ass and apologized; call it a day already. Pedro, of course, is an overpaid petulant prima donna, but this time for once he was right.

And nice job Yanks cleating the hell out of the teacher. Maybe the next time they could take on somebody really vicious, like the chess club.

This just leads me to a much bigger question: how can european women look GREAT without doing shit? All they do is walk. The thought of going to the gym is as crazy as the thought of them putting ketchup on their fries...
Let me get this str8. You went to Europe, knockedup you girlfriend and though you are still checkin gout other women, you decided to do the right thing and move with her to the burbs, where you will get a dog to proetct you who wont eat the little bastard to be?

PLF is gone. I am definitely retiring now. Actually I already did but had to come in for this one.

Oh and it's not like those fucking hick rube asshole Boston police would lie or anything to get that shithole city one step closer to getting rid of the curse. Those cocksucking scumbaig pig fucks are lying just to give the sox an advantage. Nelson just should have skulled that groundskeeper with a fastball when he wasn't looking. Whoops. Slipped. If I were Garcia, I just would have let the bat fly into the Boston dugout on the next at bat.

In New York, this never would have happened. In the bleachers, there are cops near the visiting pen to they keep us from pouring piss or beer on the sox relievers.

Fuck Boston. You deserve the curse.

Cost of a parking at Yankee Stadium: $20
Cost of a bleacher ticket: $36
Cost of a "What Rivalry?" T-shirt: $19.95
