Giving Blood and Exercising

Anyways, these classes are pretty damn intense - I routinely lose about 4-5 lbs of sweat during a one hour class, despite the fact that I drink 16-22 oz. of fluid during the class. The web sites I have read about blood donation and exercise all talk about dehydration, and varying time intervals of decreased performance. Any anecdotal experience out there? Nothing would be more emasculating to me than to faint in a girly spin class.

As long as there is about 6-8 hours between the donation and your class, you should be fine. The more conservative approach would be to wait 24 hours. But you'd have to be the kind of pussy who goes to spin class to wait that long.

I have never given blood so can't help you out there, but can you describe what you wear for spin class? I am envisioning red and black vertically striped bike shorts (with built in padding on rear) and a faded teal muscle shirt bearing the logo of Ocean Pacific, with black dress socks (because you forgot to bring workout socks) and bike shoes. Also: Hot pink bandana as a sweat band and red/white/blue terry cloth wrist bands. Am I close?
One more thing: You drink out of a sippy cup that you used to use to "pre-party" in undergrad. ?Es cierto?

Yikessss! all of a sudden I realize I'm watching the moving buttocks muscle of the guy in front of me rippling through his bike shorts. I got out of there pretty quick, I'll tell you.
you do spinning, what 2/3 times a week?
|
Yes, 2-3 times in the winter. Depending on whether there is snow, whether indoor soccer is going on, blah blah blah. But I sit in the front row and there are no mirrors. Is there hope for me, Hank?

As to blood, you can't drink the night before giving right?

Oops, nobody told me that. Oh well.

I thought it went without saying that he only attends spin class as an opportunity to meet hot chicks. Therefore he must wear his plaid pants and related hipster garb. No?

Not really. I was just feeling contrary. I actually do not recall much or anything of the NW Native episode, and was somewhat surprised to hear the Jehovah sock describe it as a "lynching." In fact, when I read that, I actually began to scroll back to see what the action was that I missed, but became bored with that after a couple of hundred nanoseconds. The only thing I actually remember is me chastising someone for driving the newbie away. But, c'mon, wasn't what really happened that the newbie came on and said something pitiful like, "Well, fine . . . <sniff> . . . maybe I should just . . . <sniff> . . . just go away." And then someone else said "Bye." Was it really much worse than that?

I feel so relieved. After this post I was worried that I was being too abusive. When he was so sincere in our pm, I began quietly praying for forgiveness. Maybe my post wasn't so bad.
On your other post, do I really have a cult? I've never thought of myself as a cult sock.
Also, I have been feeling incomplete. Originally, I didn't plan to post much, but I am now over 100 posts. I think I need an avatar. Does anyone have any ideas?
Thank you and God Bless!

It is funny you should mention this because I just recently read an article about cat owners having their pussies donate blood in exchange for discounts and treats and the like from their vets. But I digress.
Go to spinning class. Let a couple of key hotties know that you selflessly gave blood this morning but didn't want to miss class and were not sure if there would be any adverse reaction anyway. Get on your little spinner before class, take a few spins and tell the nearest "in the know" hottie that you are feeling a little dizzy and could said hottie accompany you home to ensure that you do not expire on the way. Playing on the hottie's admiration for your selfless blood donation and concern for your well-being, make your move, pussy.

Because they contain a message, unlike many things that appear here?

Two things:
(1) When I give blood, I have to lie down for a while or I get woozy and fall over. For whatever reason, it affects me more than others.
(2) I never gave blood in college because someone told me I couldn't go to practice (sport not identified here as outable) that day if I'd given blood. This was before I learned about (1).
So, don't do it. Emasculation sucks.
