Sorry about that. Now that I've recovered:
1. Congrats, and
2. Will this board survive with a happy Paigow?

Wow. I'm impressed. Truly any man who can pull off the "Wednesday night while not on vacation" proposal is worth marrying. (Assuming of course that you did not propose to him).

1) I was watching the news this morning and there wa a story about a truckful of 500 pigs on their way "to market" that somehow overturned and there were cute little pigs everywhere. Were they going to do their grocery shopping or does "market" refer to something a little more sinister? if its the latter, what is the news doind a little cute jolly animal piece on cute jolly animals who are about to be murdered violently en masse? that is seriously disturbing shit. especially when you recall that pigs have the intelligence of dogs and they might as well show 500 dogs get murdered. sick.
2) I got engaged last night.

1.) It could just mean that they're going from one farm to another. We go "to market" at least two or three times a year to add some diversity to our herds. We will send our calves "to market" once or twice a year, and who knows where they'll end up.
2.) Congratulations! I wish you the best of luck!

Are you getting married in a community garden too?

Look, here are some basic truths about this board.
1. When someone knew comes along, with the long time lurker, rare poster bit, they are usually a sock. So they get flamed for being a sock.
2. This is a board where humor is king. If you're interesting, you also get a pass (somewhat). But, if you're going to post about something no one is interested in, or that makes you sound lame, you'll get treated like a red-headed step-child. Posters like Ty and SS had a relatively easy transition because not only were they funny and interesting, but they gave shit back as good as they got. Hell, NFH got piled on for months (and still gets reamed) and she can take it and has made a place for herself here.
3. If you haven't noticed, regulars take a lot of shit on this board. If they can't take it at the beginning, they aren't going to like this place anyway.
4. RB rarely posts here anymore, so newbies should be fucking happy. She consistently beat the shit out of them on Stalin.
5. If we're too nice to people posting crap, we're going to get nothing but crap.
TM
