Well, the re line ("Not Bob & Friends") sounds vaguely like I am Carol Burnett, and y'all are Vicki Lawrence, Tim Conway, and Harvey Koreman.

"The play" refers to that baseball post of Thurgreed's. I am agreeing with his assessment of the play, and also as to why it wasn't made out to be a big deal.

"Leiter" is the name of the pitcher that the Yankees recently signed. He was released by the Marlins because he wasn't doing too well, perhaps because of his age. Yet he pitched well against the Red Sox.

"The extra zero" is the typo that Thurgreed corrected -- I said "$20 million" instead of "$200 million." (This is an example of why I am not a transactional lawyer.)

::sigh:: No, not any of that (but, um, thanks). I meant the NFH references and the slightly snarky giggling over my head. ;-)

You know, that was an accident. I meant to explain that.

NFH gets a bad rap for two reasons. (1) She likes to re-post stories from MSNBC. Some people find these posts to be annoying, and so a post that seems to lack content might be compared to one of her posts. (2) People think that she is a guy.

So, while Thurgreed was accusing you of (1), I was referring to (2).

And I may be many things, but I am not a snarky giggler.

Yes, as I figured. Fine, fine, Thurgreed, fair point. And I'm pretty sure we're all okay on (2).

You forgot the money dance.
And I'm shallow.

I'm starting to feel like the runaway bride. No one cares when it's just a wedding for 800 people and 14 bridesmaids, but now that I'm on a bus to Albuquerque, suddenly everyone's interested.
I get more press now than when I'm here.

And now I feel like Atticus, posting at midnight - but not from the toilet. I have no wireless in the WC.

Special kudos to the geek at the Mac Store who fixed my iPod this afternoon in about ten seconds using a paper clip. Magnifique!

Having never been in the situation, I would think that it would be extremely difficult to be in a work situation in a (very cool) european city with a hot person of the opposite sex and not fuck that person.

Really? Huh. What if it's not a work situation? (It was couched more as a vacation.)

Your insights are invaluable, Coltrane.

I thought you said it was for work?

Your sarcasm is noted.

Sarcasm? Moi? You cut me, Coltrane; you cut me real deep.

Were such a trip to take place, it would be a trip with a work colleague, but it wouldn't be for work. I can see where that could have been confusing.

So, you would most definitely hypothetically fuck him?

Hypothetically? Wouldn't I have to? (I mean, Natural Law and all that.)
