The internal contridictions in the one sentence are enough to speak volumes re. you. For you to have posted this sentence on a day where you call into question my ability to express coherent thought- well let's just say you have hurt the otherwise high value I am sure most people place on your opinions.

She's dead. And no one really remembers her but Bilmore.

Walter Hopps

Walter Hopps. He fell a few weeks ago and broke some ribs, puncturing his lungs.

One of the most important curators of contemporary art, and a really nice and interesting guy.

He was 82.

Contestant 45, Come on Down!

If nobody has Terry Schiavo, would it be bad form to start a Price is Right style contest?

I'm going with next Thursday.

really? her family has that long to find some other activist legislature or executive to put her back in the juice? I would have guessed sometime over the weekend, but I haven't kept up with exactly how water deprived she is right now. It's been almost a week already, right?

6 days. I'm stuck on Thursday. But then again, I picked Kansas to be in the Final Four.

The family is done. I'd say they've run out of whores to carry their cross for political gain.

I think Seb might be on the money. Dehydration can take two weeks.

If these people had any souls, they'd euthanize her. The whole thing is morbid.

Literally. But you can't euthanize anywhere except in Oregon, I think. And Kevorkian is in prison.

This is actually the difficulty faced by families whose loved ones have filled out advance directives. It's not as if you get to amp up the morphine. Unless the person needs a respirator, you're essentially looking at witholding required meds, hydration, and nutrition, which is a slow process, but ultimately quicker than waiting for all of your organs to fail.

I have been assured that dehydration is not as uncomfortable for the patient as it sounds, especially for patients who are already not alert. Further, if there is a possibiltiy of pain, you can administer pain meds without being inconsistent with the directive.

It makes you hope you're taken out by heart attack, preferably while shark-diving in South Africa or being charged by elephants in India.

So then she'll rise up Sunday?

BTW, can anybody tell me how long Jesus hung out after he rose from the dead?
