AI

Just catching up, so I'm going to bring up the AI thread again. Not to detract from the fascinating discussion that's going on now...

Clay: He does one thing and he does it well. Unfortunately for him that one thing is Elton John type ballads, which does not make one an American Idol.

Kim L: I thought she was great. I had my doubts about the song, but her interpretation was very different from Celine’s and it worked for me.

Rickey: His vocal control is weak. I thought he was nothing special.

Kim L: She wanted to show versatility but forgot that she isn't versatile. Oops. She looked amazing, though.

Josh: I was not impressed. He did seem more comfortable onstage, but he would not have made it far on Nashville Star.

Carmen: I h8 her.

Trenyce: Once again, gave a performance that was close to very good, but somehow missed the mark.

Ruben: Fantastic. I know some people thought it was dull, but I was impressed that he didn’t feel the need to strain. Just good singing and good fun. I want to hug him.

Bottom 3 will be Trenyce, Carmen and Kim C. Bottom 3 should be Josh, Rickey and Carmen.

Holy crap. Apology accepted.

I didn't see that one coming so I'm at a loss for words.

I hope that your mood gets better and whatever is causing it goes away.

b(Especially if you are in a bad mood b/c Carmen on AI sucks so much but hasn't been voted off yet -- I hope she's kicked off tonight for you)l

Never have I seen a "blame the victim" mentality so clearly articulated.

And do you really think she forwarded them to people with the heading "Isn't this guy psycho" and then told him that she forwarded his messages with the heading "Isn't this guy psycho?"

The reason his post is funny is because he obviously sent her some insulting pms, and then freaked out b/c she asked on the board how to forward PMs. Well, that's why I think it's funny. And I have no beef with M-R at all, I actually like him. I'm just trying to help him sound like less of a dumbass. That is my mission in life.
THe beauty of it is that I posted the How Do I Forward PMs post for the sole purpose of freaking MR out. Like I cant figure out where a forward button is?

He is a mental midget. I crush his head (thanks str8). Crush crush crush.

It wasn't an 'honest comment.' I just couldn't resist.

Just skip over posts as soon as you're aggravated. With the exception of this one, I usually do.

Can I tell you how relieved I am to know this? I was a little scared about that one. I am sitting there shaking my head thinking what the fuck, how can she not see the fucking forward button.

Would it be weird to admit that I've fantasized about having a baby and giving it up for adoption so that I can take the 3 months paid maternity leave?

shut up. like you haven't all fantasized about the same thing!

I applaud your efforts, but I'm sure by now you know the pattern:

inflammatory post
arguments
gets less responses
reasonable posts
normal discussion
inflammatory post
etc.

People always respond, either out of ignorance or because they just can't help themselves.

Hell, I'd fantasize having an employer that paid for anything, first.

p(have never fantasized about anything having to do with babies that didn't include avoiding having one)j

Oh great. See now I have this creepy image of Sean Young (panties + package) from Ace Ventura: Pet Detective running through my head.

Thanks.

Ya, that would be a great fantasy for me if three months' paid maternity leave did not entail not taking a vacation day or sick day for, oh, about 2.8 years.
