Happy Bastille Day!

That is all. I forgot to wish everyone a happy summer solstice a few weeks ago. Sorry.

Ah oui, Happy Bastille Day indeed!!!

Allons enfants de la patrie,
Le jour de gloire est arrivé.
Contre nous de la tyrannie
L'étendard sanglant est levé.

eta: allo ncs, mon cherie, jusqu'à ce que je cogne encore, au revoir!

I can, at least so far, say that Bastille Day is absolutely nothing special.

Should be decent fireworks at night, and lots of drunk French women wandering through the streets. Not sure that counts as "special."

Did you see the parade? I think anyone with a fireman fetish finds that pretty special.

Get up early to wait to see a French military parade? And I have seen fireworks a plenty, so far. I am going to one of the Fireman's parties tonight, and will let y'all know about the drunk french women.

Ms. Gap is such a Depp fan that it really doesn't matter what the movie is like, just that he's in it. (To give you a sense of perspective, she thought he was sexy in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.) The man could spend two hours on film staring into crystals, drooling and rending his hair and she would be quite content.

Good pitch, but I hear Sony's got a very similar project in development for Heath Ledger.

I think we're seeing the kinder, gentler TM. In the old days, he wouldn't wait until you had a broken leg to shoot you.

Oh crap, I forgot to report my celebrity sightings from this week:

Lindsay Lohan and Beck, at Dominick's on Beverly (the same night, but they weren't together. Our summer associates were all geeked).
