Seriously. I'd be hard pressed not to punch a parent who gave the coach a hard time right in the fucking mouth. It's atrocious behavior - the sort of low class trashy shit that's making our culture what it is a country of dumb, coarse people.

within the range of playing time above "minimum" parents can be a total headache. they always think their kids are great, or as good, or it's just for fun. Meanwhile some kids work harder and are better. the last rec league thing I coached was a nightmare.

*coaching my daughter in rec basketball, after 5 weeks of pre first game practice, a girl who was new to basketball showed up for the first time AT THE FIRST GAME. Everyone plays at least 1.5 quarters? i go to the person running the league- surely this is an exception? nope. play her.

the other 11 kids had worked hard within their talents to learn to play. then first game we are trying to play with a big hole on the court. its really not fair to the kids.

This is just a dumbass observation, but just about every educated American that I have encountered since I moved here doesn't seem to like his country too much. I find it weird. Is it just to distinguish yourselves from the "ugly American"?

As a general rule Canadians love their country -- especially educated ones. They totally buy into the patriotic crap (even though in many ways, the US is much better in the ways that Canadians think that Canada is better).

Every country has dumb, coarse people. I don't think there are any more of them per capita here than say, Australia, or England, or France or Germany or Switzerland.

And why are you putting words in my mouth? Did I call you Rush? Did you criticize people with Parkinsons? Because as a person who worked with people with Parkinsons for 3 years attempting to get guardianships for them, you're crossing the line.

So, that league had a stupid rule, or applied it stupidly.

I don't see how it benefits a kid who's not so good to be played a lot to placate a parent. All the teammates hate the kid in the end, even more than the hate the coach's kid who plays all the time.
