YOu are right, it isnt gay porn. I just remembered I had a question relating to two women in a sex scenee. And taht was totally not explicit though there was some boob suckage with actual naked boobs that you dont always get to see on the hetero shows.
you gotta admit the storylines are getting a little better. Except for that nonsensical bs abouta man who thinks he is a lesbian. they should just lose taht yoplait chick altogether.
|
I didn't recognize her. I saw her name in the credits and then forgot about it. Until you asked I didn't connect the two.
My gf and I were watching the most recent episode last night. We now find this show second only to the Apprentice for good, old, mocking fun.
The whole lesbian man thing is absurd. If they made it a man exploring whether he should have been born in a female body that is one thing, but male identified lesbian sounds like the typical reaction I get from men when they learn I am gay. They think they are clever when they say they are lesbians too, because they like women. (Men on the board, if you say that when you meet a lesbian, stop it. It makes us want to bitchslap you. Hard.)
The story lines are getting better, but there are 3 things that irritate me.
1. Jenny - she is annoying.
2. Jenny's writing. She sucks.
3. The art that is supposed to be so cool it drives Bette to tears. It sucks.
They need to stop reading 2 and showing 3 and just let us imagine these things. And Jenny is irritating, has no moral values or perspective, and I think she is kind of nuts. Yet they probably want us to like her. And who the hell throws a bottle of wine at a house?
Pardon the use of the word lover, but here it is appropriate.
This leads me to a poll question.
You have had sex with someone who is allowed to play when the partner is away. The partner comes home, no more playing allowed. Partner invites you over for dinner.
Would you go?
OF COURSE NOT. This isn't a poll, this is obvious shit.
And yet this passes for a storyline on the L Word. I don't think so.

How does tcb'ing to some show on MTV show show your displeasure for their programming choices? If that's the standard, some of their shows have to be the most disliked by middle-aged men and 15 year old boys.

They are obviously seeking the male demographic with this plotline. We are suckers for frolicking lesbians.

They weren't frolicking though. She was storming out and throwing wine at the glass door. And then she went and had sex with the man she cheated on, who then, by the way, married her after catching her in the act.

I'd love to buy one an wear it to work just to see the reaction.

Members Only jackets are now cool again. They have to be beat up and pleather for the look to work, though. And you need a pair of BluBlockers or other oversize sunglasses to complete the look. But I've seen these on people out quite a bit lately.

They do now - I have seen several for women lately. The look is apparently full-on 80's with a neon top under the jacket and tight, highwaisted tapered designer jeans stuffed into little ankle boots. That is a look that maybe 1% of the population can wear without looking like a triangle and which absolutely no one looks good in.
I did see a jacket the other day that I kind of dug, though. It was leather, not pleather.

|
Dissent. These guys are on crack.
22 Young Influentials
Once known as the home of the nation's yuppies, Young Influentials reflects the fading glow of acquisitive yuppiedom. Today, the segment is a common address for young, middle-class singles and couples who are more preoccupied with balancing work and leisure pursuits. Having recently left college dorms, they now live in apartment complexes surrounded by ball fields, health clubs and casual-dining restaurants.
Lifestyle Traits
1. Buy high-end computers
2. Eat at Hooters
3. Read Rolling Stone
4. Watch That 70s Show
5. Drive a Mazda Protege
I guess I have to move now. None of these apply.

I was home sick one day a few years back, and had the pleasure of watching Jerry Springer. He had on two couples where the man would go twosie and onesie in a diaper and the wife had to change him. I felt it was sick. I felt the wife shouldn't enable the husband. I watched in shock as one husband made in his diaper and had to go off stage with wife to be changed. I had many emotions that day, but not the urge to vote with my finger.
As to why, I'm sure there are deep dense psych. studies, but truly I believe its what Sebastian said. We simply want to feel superior.

I didn't know that there was a man involved, but this kind of proves my point.
